We are proud to announce our second installment of our Halo Campaign tournament. Although last time was not an overwhelming success this time around we have loosened the requirements in the hopes that many more will participate.

Could it be? Yes, it is. It’s the big one you been waiting for, the 2012 LAN write-up! A bit delayed? Perhaps. But every good thing is worth waiting for.

Every year this is the one thing I both love and fear – the write-up. How does one capture everything that happened without boring most? It’s a fine line between too much and not enough. Here’s my take. I hope you like it, but you’ll have to be the judge…

Those who were there understand how special meeting those voices you hear online can be. This year had one of the best turnouts of all time; 19 OcR members (or former members) and 2 non-OcR guests - Felonious and Big Country. The attending members spanned a number of eras – the old fogies like Rhino and Envy to the newest members like Mount Doom, Railtone and Heat. In addition we had some distant travelers coming from as far away as Texas and Massachusetts.

Front Row (left to right): NinjaKitty, Mount Doom, Veggeh, ROWEBLAST, Railtone
Second Row: Grav, Envy, Precision, Aggro, Rhino, Obi Shwan
Third Row: Patriot, Heat, Nemesis, Valour (Valto), JEMICIDE
Not Pictured: Stryker, Melkor (Ubergeek), Felonious, Big Country

Day One: Real Life Lobby Warriors

The day started awfully early for a number of our long distance travelers, some arriving as early as 9:00am local time. For them, nothing but a long day of waiting lay ahead. Their home for the next few hours? The quiet lobby of the Marriott Suites. Lobby Warriors Ho! First ...
As a teaser, enjoy this gem from the 2012 Chicago LAN. Both Captain Canada (Valour) and myself get thoroughly embarrassed. Major props Kitty, she's still got the touch in H3! Editing courtesy of our graphically talented Cakers. Click "Read more" to see the video.

With our heads held high, but with heavy hearts we say thank you to one of our longest standing Overlords, OcR Rhino. Rhino has decided his time has come to retire from the position of Overlord for Outcast Reborn. Rhino's service to this clan and community is beyond measure and we thank him dearly for his years of leadership.

While not fulfilling the role of Overlord, Rhino will be continuing on as a regular member. He'll be sporting the title of "Former Leader" indefinitely, a title well deserved. Rhino's extremely long history with the clan, from its founding in 2005 and before is a testament to the family we have here.

We are always sad to see a change in leadership, but are thankful for his final act as host of the 2012 Chicago LAN. We all take a Rhino-crouch out of respect.
