Think about how much fun and endless hours of entertainment this game provided. How much time of our lives were wasted waiting in pre-game lobbies for hours on end at higher levels or sitting in blue screen for 3 minutes while we got standbyed or waited for the game to reconnect.
All the flag captures, bombs armed, no-scopes and multi-kills, times you've been thoroughly owned or completely pissed on another player /team.
Now for some reason I can't quite put my finger on, the game has completely lost it's luster. I think as a clan we should just emphasize playing as a team and with as many clan members as possible (funny coming from me, I've played maybe 5 games with people in this clan if you don't count Lemmi or C )
Get used to each others playstyle, get along and get comfortable playing so when H3 rolls around we can all be used to what times we play, playstyle etc. and be really prepared for H3. Not even playing focusing on 'lol mlg r4p3 sn1p0r' but more just getting games in with the same people you want to jump into H3 MM with when it rolls around.
I guess you guys probably have a lot better idea of this since I haven't had the opportunity to play with you guys much. I'm have a little um, pride issues I guess since I got a lot worse since my 6v6 playing everyday days and I don't want you guys to get the wrong idea and think I'm just another random you know.

Okay cool, part of the problem is I can really only play anymore after 11PMish eastern time, so anybody thats in that can play time frame I'd definatly want to get some games in. I usually play by myself I'm used to going solo or in po2-3 rankin up 6v6 /btb back in the day so I'm not really used to actually trying to search in a party or playing customs. I've always wanted to try backwards customs like multi flag ctf 6v6 on zanzibar or terminal.

i used to play halo religiously man, the kills the caps, everything was fun. but it was wierd just one day it was like...wow, this isnt fun anymore. i have no idea how it hit me either. its like you work so hard to get your lvl then after that all it was was cheaters and then customs. i think for me it was just sick of getting cheated out of my lvls and sick of my only fall back being customs, on the same maps everyday.
but everyonce and a while i get back on and play but it isnt really to play anymore i get on just to talk with you guys, friends that i have made over months of playing. i love you guys. :p

I agree with you ax1x 100%. Even though im a bigger enthusiast of many other titles, I still have to say one game that I cannot stop coming back for more is definitely Halo 2. There is no other game that has brought my friends together(and tore us apart :P) such as Halo 2. Thats why I will never forget the good gaming moments I had with this title.

Thats exactly what I think can help us for H3. Beta was way different than H2 in so many ways, I think the best way to prepare would just be to get used to playing with the same group of people so we can make the transition as a group. When H3 rolls around there will be some playstyle advantages or tricks I pick up on that you guys don't and vice versa, if we're already all close and working as one than we can all help each other out during the transition and really standout as a top tier clan.
I think teamwork is really mis-understood. It's not so much acting as one as it is only being concerned with YOUR job. My example is my baseball team this summer. We were facing elimination in the state finals losing 11-0. I led off the inning we had to score at least one run to keep the game going, it was pretty much like we already lost. Lots of college scouts there etc., it's tempting for me to swing for the fences but my job is to get on base, put the ball in play and make things happen. I slap hit for gaps and holes, it's my job, I came up and hit a single, nothing ESPN highlight worthy but it's my job. By doing my job I make my teams job easier and possible, they backed me up and hit me in. I came up in another situation with 2 men on 2 outs and we were down by 3 at this point. Again, I could swing for power but I did my job and hit a double in the gap, the kid behind me did his job and hit me in and now we're tied. By not trying to do to much and counting on my team to back me up, I am just concerned with doing what I'm supposed to do, which makes what they're supposed to do easier. Great game I wound up coming up to bat with 2 outs in the bottom of the 12th bases loaded, went to full count and everything and I just hit a line drive single up the middle to win the game : ) ...we got eliminated the next game though. That game is just a good example of how teamwork is really just doing YOUR job as an individual and counting on your team to back you up, if they don't thats their fault not yours.

MY God I tried playing a couple games and forget it. I had a game I'm 4-0 killwise but my team is retarded and they got ONE flag capture so this asshole quits. By figuring out how to join a MM game and by sucking so much he ruins MM for all 7 other people, now my team is at a huge loss and the other team a huge advantage just because some retard somehow figured out how to join a MM game. Tried to play a few games before school /out but all I get is frustrating games with retards that quit on my team or the other team, halo 2 has totally lost it's luster :( but I still have faith in it until H3 arrives.

Yeah I know, me you def envy and chaos tore up that beta. I know I played with a few other OcR guys but it was mostly 6v6 with me and def and those last few days me and you getting some games in, and a few training games with envy and chaos. Chamillion finished 6v6 with the highest rank of 31 he was considered the best 6v6 sniper but honestly envy and chaos were both better.

You should just get some people to come with you in match making a1. We do have a party up section here. =P. But if no one is going on, then just screw it. You'll probably just get frustrated or something.
A lot of people in this clan have really good relations and from that comes better teamwork and chemistry in game. For example iLL and I back then during Sigma days and before, Rhino and Envy (FROM WHAT I HEARD, still yet to be proven.) etc. I bet it is because you do all that bonding and crap, and it gets fun to play matches with the person despite whether you win or lose.
I've had times when I got really competitive, lost a game and just was frustrated. Messed me up and I just kept on doing worse. With iLL he's a pretty funny guy and I guess humor distracts all the gay frustrations and bs in game and makes me do better while still having a good time. (No **** and you're welcome whiteboy.)
Just my thoughts about it. ha.

Anyways just to give you guys a heads up...
I appreciate the party invites, but I do not have my Halo 2 disc as of now. Besides with Halo 3 around the corner I can wait 50 something more days.

Yeah I've always wanted a partner like that. In BTB and 6v6 back in the day I rolled with this sniper eastside killaa he wound up being one of the best ones, he topped out with like a 45 or 46 in btb but I was dirty at stealing the other teams sniper and he was amazing at controlling ours so back then in a po2 we carried our teams. We teamed up with this lil kid gregor, CM gregor, he would handle the objective and for a short while we were a 3 man wrecking team.
Those two fought or something, I still occasionally play with eastside but other than that I usually search solo and occasionally with people from OcR. Whenever I play with people (other than c and lemmi ) I try to 'prove my worth' and do really good, usually wind up doing worse than if I went in solo. Sometimes I htink I'm not going positive x2 since I'm playing with other good people and they're actually killing people so I dont have to;) ...I've been here a while but seriously I need to start playing with you guys more. If I suck let me know I would hate being a burden, but when H3 rolls around I'm confident I can hold my own in a 6v6 /8v8 squad, I'm just not very good at anything smaller.

For whatever reason I just don't think you get on at the right times A1. We still play customs as a clan and for the most part I know our long term members skills and weakness'.
As for H3, the skill/weakness set will really change so I think playing H2 to get a feel for a skill set for H3 is kinda silly.
Btw, thanks for the kind comments on my H3 Beta Sniping. I was 10x at sniping than I am in H2 ;)

Well not so much the skill /weakness as is just getting comfortable with playing together, you guys may have done that but I still haven't and yeah thats my fault but it'd be nice to start getting games in w/ you guys.
YES-OcR as far as I know wasn't around /active in the GOOD days of btb /6v6. Me and carcass know, it's like a mini-community within xboxlive. If you can out-snipe the guys there at high lvls you get a lot of respect and can learn a lot from them since most are symbols in other playlists. I'm all for setting up an OcR btb mini-squad or trying to, can really get a jump start and make a name for ourselves if we win and get some games in against some known squads.
