I bought a 2GB yesterday and I came home to see if I could transfer my Halo 3 saved games to it, but when I try to move or copy the game it doesn't give me the option to move/copy it to the flash drive only the hard drive .

Sorry your SOL my friend.

The recorded games from Halo3 are a proprietary video source. Meaning you can not simply transfer them to an external device and play them on your computer. They will only play in Halo3.

Although I think you should still be able to transfer them. Can you transfer anything else from your 360-flash drive?

So I tried this myself, wondering if I could get the beta vids to my PC and somehow figure out how to play them. I couldn't get the 360 to recognize my USB Key ethier.

Anyone know if there is something we need to do first? Or is this MS being lame and requiring a MS signed drive to be used.

Your beta game videos will not work on your PC no matter what. I recall that Frankie posted in the Bungie Weekly Update that the game videos are just game code and the only way that it can be deciphered is if it is played in game. (Kind of like what you said, Envy)

Sadly, I've never heard of anyone being able to use a USB drive to transfer stuff to and from their 360 besides maybe music, pictures, and videos.

Now, there is a thing called XSATA that a lot of the gamesavers (lazy pieces of crap) use. From what I hear you can transfer and saved game and such to and from your PC to your 360.

With all of that though, it's still not possible to play your Beta videos. =(

Yea I figured as much, I'm sure that once H3 releases someone will come up with a way to transfer video - pc and play them. I'm surprised Bungie themselves doesn't have a video player in the works.

That would be nice since I suck with all the computer stuff.
