Hey everyone I got a new keyboard. Microsoft Wireless desktop elite keyboard and I have been having some problems. I put in the software disk and install it and everything. I look at the keyboard in the xp control panel and it says its there, but then I go to type something and it does nothing. :(

Then how did you type this? lol jk you used your old keyboard. See if the USB signal adapter is in correctly.

Ok little off topic there.

Your keyboard came with a signal box. On the top or bottom of that box there should be a reset button. On the bottom of your keyboard there should also be a reset button. First click the reset button on the signal box then wait a minute and click the reset button on your keyboard.

Also certain things can hinder the wireless signal. It's not like your WiFi it's much weaker. Keep it away from your speakers and try to keep it as close to your keyboard as you can.
