Failing DSN thing

i cant get my xbox to pass the DNS thing when i test my conection to the internet and i cant get online becuse of it im getting reallly pissed i need some major help

First, are you using any new hardware like a router or anything? Second, go to your Network Settings and make sure that your DNS Server has a quantity (number) to it. Third, is your Network Settings in Automatic or Manual mode?

Yeah when ever I get a prob with the internet I always restart and unplug modem sometime I have to do it a few times. There is also maybe the ethernet cable is not plugged in very well. You just have to check for the little things.
