Hey guys, I got back today, and happy to say the Vikings won 24-3. They looked very good, and I'd say Adrian Peterson gets rookie of the year, with 103 yards rushing and that 60 yard TD reception. The defense looked great as well, with 2 defensive TD's.
It was a good trip, I would've stayed longer, but really didn't have that option.
Anyway, just thought I'd start a thread recaping week 1, and If anyone wants to discuss this week and post something anybody hasn't heard about the week, feel free.
Anybody else hear about any updates to that Bills Tight End that had severe injuries to his back, and he might not walk again? Intense.
Also, How about the fans clapping when Chad Pennington for the Jets got hurt? So many injuries this first week, very unusual for any week.

Ravens are your team? Good, solid team, at lest from what I remember. We'll see if they can cover Ocho Cinco and Houshmanzadeh.
Eli Manning is going to miss a month, I just figured out. Sucks. I have him on my fantasy football team.
Some Patriots employee got arrested for filming the Jets coordinators and their hand signals, trying to figure out what they mean.
Crazy first week, crazy.

the bills guy really freaks me out because i played football for 6 years, thank goodness i never got hurt...like that at least.
and go Steelers beat the browns...but thank god right, who is going to lose to the browns.
also i am happy for the packers Brett Farve is one of my favorite QB's ever just because he loves the game, and actually shows it.
and who won the chargers or the bears?

I can't believe the Eagles punt returner blew it, and Farve is good

I'm not going to disagree on that Brett Favre is not a great QB, because he is. I just don't like him though. You know, their in the same division with the Vikings, and John Madden kisses Favre's ass all the time, I just don't really care for him.
And the Pack won that game because of their kicker.

They still won, Farve is a good QB, and I honestly like him, he is older now, and this is probably his last year, but he can match some of the greatest QBs

I didn't say that he wasn't. I just never liked the Pack.
Farve is tied with John Elway for the most wins ever by a QB(or maybe by anyone).

Yeah, im doing weekly picks this year fer money. i'm 11-3 so far this week. the only games in which i lost were where the Packers beat the Eagles, the Titans beat the Jaguars, and the Texans embarrassed the Cheifs. But you can't predict that, can you? Meh, i guess i really shouldn't have doubted the Packers, but the Eagles still should have won that.
I picked the Ravens to beat the Bengals tonight. That could go either way. The Ravens keep turning the ball over.
Oh did anyone see that catch by T.O.? Insane

HOW 'BOUT DEM PANTHERS!!! Everybody thought they were going to lose to the Rams but we won. I can't believe the Texans looked so good against Kansas. I was like damn, they might actually be good this year.

The Panthers won b/c the Rams defense is the same old crap it's been for the last couple years. Thats what we have to deal with here in St. Louis. >__>
And the Cheifs are expected to suck this year; I dunno why i picked them to win. Of course they were playing the fucking Texans for crying out loud, they should at least be able to put up a fight against them.

Good Idea Envy, making a sports discussion section. I was just about to ask if that could be put up.
Anyways, Chad Johnson's TD celebration was a bust. I wanted it to be alot better than that.
