Whats Next for independent Bungie

Bungie's Community Leader Brian Jarrard has revealed that Bungie are already at work on another Halo game, but strictly speaking it is not Halo 3 but is based on the Halo universe and is a collaboration between Bungie and Peter Jackson. Jarrard simply stated that Halo 3 was definitely not the last Bungie Halo game. Moreover, he tried to dodge a question about how they would pitch future titles as they are an independent company which suggests that such a title could actually go multi-platform.


1UP: For all the super fans: does this mean Bungie won't work on whatever "Halo 4" turns out to be?

Jarrard: Well we are already at work on another Halo game -- I wouldn't call it "Halo 4", but it is based in the Halo Universe and represents a collaboration between Bungie and Peter Jackson. Halo 3 was definitely not the last Bungie Halo game.

1UP: And perhaps most importantly, this means we're going to finally see some progress on Pimps at Sea, right?

Jarrard: Fortunately, Bungie LLC does retain ownership of the Pimps at Sea franchise so anything is possible!

i knew they were making a new game just not a H4 cause H3's ending pretty much suggested that there wasnt going to me another Spartan 117 AKA Master Cheif main character role. now but dont rule out that another spartan will emerge and there wont be a threat in a whole diff universe =p yeah let our minds wander

I don't see a continuation of the Halo story on the 360 besides Halo Wars. Maybe on the next generation console we'll see Halo 4 and the continuation from *SPOILER* where his drifting ship crashes into that strange planet. */SPOILER*

HaloWars = RTS
Halo?? = RPG - God I hope not a Halo RPG would be so lame.

Actaully Envy if they did it right, a RPG probably wouldnt be so bad. Look at WoW. Took a RTS and made it into the worlds biggest RPG ever. Plus it will be for the xbox. So it might not be bad. :D

i agree with Gameplayer the about them making it a RPG i just couldn't see it on the Xbox lf it was on the Xbox they would have to make it like final fantasy 11 or like oblivion. i would know because in WoW there are so many different controls, oh well. We will See when they leak information out but in the mean time lets have fun with H3 before Halo Wars comes out
