World Series: Who wins?

It's gonna be a good Series. i can't see Colorado dominating Boston, nor can I see Boston dominationg Colorado. but the 8 day break should hurt the Rockies as opposed to only 2 days off for the Red Sox. Plus, the Sox are just an all-around better team. Red Sox in 6.

I haven't really followed colorado but isn't bostons starting pitching a lot better? Aslo in playoffs I've seen them bring wakefield in relief, wakefield pwns hitters go from seeing 90+ fastballs to a 65- knuckle ball. Wakefield is basically the man, he makes a living throwing a baseball 60mph with no spin over a plate.

I agree with Hunter, Boston in 6 games sounds about right. Keep in mind Rockies are a good team but they've just been lucky recently. Boston is a great team and has been the entire season.

Agree Envy. Boston has the best pitcher in baseball being Beckett, Ramirez and Ortiz, the bullpen will Papelpon, and just the experience. Rockies may have won 21 out of 22, but an eight day layoff doesn't help them out tonight

beckett must win this game. the redsox will have a very hard time if they cant get this one game under them. i just cant see dice k and schilling getting wins in both of their starts

I sure hope the Rockies win. I usually always root for the underdog when my team isn't in it. Plus, it helps that one of my best friends is from Colorado and that my cousin went to the AFA. :P

Yea, there was no way the Rockies were going to win the first game. They were rusty after an 8 day layoff, they're starting pitcher hadn't pitched in 12 days. Plus they had to face Beckett who was fantastic once again. The Red Sox batting order is rediculous from 1-7. The Rockies have quite an obstacle on their shoulders here, and I'll be shocked if they can win this Series.

Seriously though if you want to make it look like you can call shots...game 1 tell 50 people sox will win and 50 that rockies will win...sox win, forget those that you told rockies would win, split the 50 that htink you predicted it right in half, tell 25 sox and the other 25 rockies...rinse and repeat, by game 4 you'll have a handfull of people that will think you have a connect or telepathy or something stupid, if these people know bookies they'll be happy to pay you for a prediction:)

Well, Envy obviously cares, and rightfully so. New England = Sports Heaven. On the SAME DAY the Patriots demolished the Redskins 52-7 to continue their undefeated season (8-0) AND the Red Sox finished a four game sweep to win the World Series. Yesterday was a HUGE day for Envy.

I can see the Red Sox becoming a dynasty like the Patriots. They have a team in it's prime with most of their key players signed for long term deals. If they can re-sign Lowell and Schilling, this team is set for a few more years of excellence. (even if they dont resign those guys, they're set) Props to Terry Francona and Theo Epstien for taking a "cursed" team that could not win the big one (they hadn't won in 86 years before 2004) and building it into a championship team, winning two World Series in 4 years. That is just unbelievable. Expect the Red Sox's success to continue for years to come.

Yeah, and I think baseball is one of the most interesting sports because of the strategy involved with the athletecisism. There is a reason maddux only throws 85 but is still an ace, you don't have to be physically dominant if you play the game smart. This is true in other sports but still, I think it's just most noticeable in baseball.

(Kind of like Halo 3, I really like the game but I can't help but get mad when I'm outBRing someone and then out of nowhere "GO GO GADGET BLUE power drainer" and I instantly lose my shields booo)
