I think what they're going to do is have a trial next month. If Bonds is proven guilty of federal pergury and obstruction of justice charges, he will go to prison. As for his future with Major League Baseball, we don't know. We also don't know what could happen to his statistics. Will they be labeled with the asterisk(*)? Or will they be completely erased?

Also, what would this mean for guys like Mark McGwire and Sammy Sosa? This is going to be an interesting couple of months.

This is pretty big news in the sports world. Whats pissing me off is that stupid healine whore A-Rod is butting in again. Now ESPN is going on and on about him and the Yankees and thats fucking rediculous. A-Rod is not the center of the sports universe. I'm actually furious with ESPN for using up so much of their airtime with A-Rod. The only people who should care are Yankees fans.

Either go back to Bonds, or go to regular programming. Sorry to go off-topic there, but I just want to say, I'm sick of hearing about A-Rod all the freaking time.

on bonds:

dislike him and OF COURSE he knew he was taking it...i mean come on.

on a-rod:

i just saw on espn that the overview of his contract with the yankees was going to be 275 million dollars for 10 years...ARE YOU FREAKING KIDDING ME?!?! WTF!!!

if he donated that money to charities or to the homeless no one would have cancer anymore and there would be enough homes for every person in the WORLD!!!!! imo.

Thats bullshit Bonds doesn't have a leg to stand on other than his celebrity status. It's his friggin job to know what is going into his body especially in baseball with the whole steroid epidemic he knew damn right well what he was doing.

Funny he 'cares' about the game so much that he lies under oath like that to save his career, but he doesn't care about the game enough to avoid cheating and play legitimately, I don't care how many nerds use steroids thats not an excuse either...he is pathetic and even if they asterics his name or w/e he still deserves no respect for anything that he has done in his career.

yea i wonder what will happend and how this will turn out. The biggest question is Hank Aaron still going to hold his title or is bonds who took the steroids going to surpass him. This is going to be very interesting case.

It doesn't matter if his name is #1 forever, everyone does and always will recognize him as a cheater, this only makes Aarons record standout even more in that modern athletes need to cheat to surpass him.

If Bonds had any dignity left he would beg to have his name taken out of the record books. It's sad that steroid ues has became so common and accepted.

I think his record will stand because the majority of his career as well as his last year when he actually broke the record he was not using anything this trial is not about him taking anything anymore it's about him lying and the trouble is I really don't know how they're going to prove, beyond any doubt, that he knew he was taking steroids or supplements unless they literally have a recording of him saying "I'm taking this" I don't know how they will convict him, but evidently they feel they have enough evidence so I'm interested to see what it is

As for A-Rod, I hope he dies...demanding $350 million are you kidding me even $275 million is too much the entire Milwaukee Brewers Payroll makes about $50 million and I'd take them over Gay-Rod any day of the week...the funny thing is he knows he's overpaid and still asks for more

okay this is what is going to happen most likely

he is going to enter a guilty plee and recive months to a few years in jail

No, if he is found guilty, he can get up to 30 years in prison. What I want to know is what Major League Baseball is going to do to his statistics.

I think his stats won't get completely erased. As much as we want them to be erased and Bonds' name out of the record books, erasing his statistics will show that Baseball is just trying to "slide this situation under the bed" as I like to call it. All of his numbers should and will get an asterisk.

OcR Saint
11-17-2007, 02:14 AM
so you think he should be placed ahead of Hank Aaron but just with a asterisk next to his name? I think a little more may be needed

Maybe now they will get stricter with steroid issues...I don't care if they use steroids but when kids see this and start taking them and don't know what they're doing thats bad, if steroids were legal none of this would even matter...ha I see kids go up 20-30 pounds in a couple months then drop 10-15 it's funny when it's that obvious.
