Laptop help

The 'scroller' on the right side of the mousepad decided to stop working for no reason? I was wondering if anybody knew whats wrong because I suck with computers? I have scotch tape over the entire 'mouse' to prevent dirt etc. buildup but I replace it regularly and recently replaced it, and with the scotch tape removed it still doesn't work...:(

the sensors underneath the pad may have burned out. Either that or your touch pads settings are off.

Oh and just a tip, tape and any machine with a motherboard do not mix.

your talking about your mouse pad on your laptop? if so, try updating or reinstalling you driver.

Yeah I was talking about the laptop mouse thats part of the laptop. You know, the square (moves mouse) and it has a line on the right side (scrolls page), the scroller stopper working but it started working again, sorry I was initially frustrated it's annoying when the scroller doesn't work, thanks though.
