Who's glad that they lost? While it would have been great to have seen the first 18-0 season ever, I'm really glad they met their match. Anyone else? (Envy excluded, we all know how he feels)

I don't think that Eli should have gotten the MVP...19 and 39, come on, the rookie that made the last 1st down should have gotten it...

and that welker guy, wow, he was freaking fast.

but all in all...envy won't be supprised that i am overall a little not not happy.

Giants got lucky on offense

OcR Skier
02-03-2008, 11:36 PM
He did have shitty stats, but in the last quarter he did score the two touchdowns that won the game, and every game of Welker's that I watch, I die a little inside that he didn't go to the Chargers like he was supposed to.

eli wen 19 and 39, should not have one MVP.

and um, isnt the point of the entire QB position to throw touchdowns?

OcR MYK
02-03-2008, 11:46 PM
Well if Manning shouldn't have gotten MVP, then who should have? There isn't anyone else who stands out to me statistcally. Just by simply watching the game, it looked like Toomer should have been considered, but Manning still threw for 255 Yards. Give the guy some appreciation, he played great. He made big plays when it matters and that's really all that matters in the Super Bowl. Which is why it's almost always the QB winning Super Bowl MVP.

I think Archie should go out and get some ice cream with his boys to show how proud he is of them.

How bout the Giants D-line? They were the true MVPs of that game they had Brady and the Pats completely off their game

Archie's boys are killers. Except Cooper. He's just a normal guy.

they were the TRUE MVP's like 5 sacks 12 knocks downs and 23 hurries WOW that is how u pressure a QB

OcR Dragon
02-04-2008, 01:16 AM
Yeah, they tore the patriots up and completely shut them down. The D-line won that game IMO. Brady was hit so many times that game, the D-line did an awesome job. I have to say though I was hoping to see the 18-0 season, but oh well. Grats to the Giants, they deserved it.

I totally agree. With the pressure the Giants Line put on Brady, he wasn't able to go into show stopping mode. He did for like the one drive he scored a touchdown with in the second half, and that made me wicked nervous that he was just going to shut down the game and bring it home, but the Giants D stepped up and put him in his place. Props to those big ole boys.

Yeah Sinister, go play some NASCAR!!!:] Anyways, my dream came true. A perfect season and then kurplunk, lost in the biggest game of the season.:P Words cannot explain how happy I was when I heard that the Pats lost (I was at work.:() Anyways 9 times out of 10 the QB gets MVP cause he's the QB. I mean the QB is supposed to be the leader of the team and that's why they get it cause they supposed to lead their team to a victory.

P.S. We Patriot haters still love you Envy even if you do get mad at us.;)

i agree with you mane, it was depressing how much brady was rushed, they still got to him when they only rushed 4 guys! impressive job by the Giants, i just wished the patriots would do it so we could be witnesses

it seemed to me like the patriots almost played robotic, like they werent really playing, it just seemed like they were just going through the motions.

i heard that the patriots copy righted the term 19 and O before the game...guess that was a waste of money...

and bellecheck (yes sp) rushed off with there still being time left on the clock, i know he is competetive but i mean come on, He is the Coach of the team, i didnt think that that showed any sportsman ship what so ever.

At least I had cold beers to keep me awake, all the action was pascked into the last quarter. The Giants Dline was awesome for sure, I like the play when the LB turned to pass coverage faked out the o-line and sacked Brady hardcore.

OcR just iLL
02-04-2008, 05:08 PM
they are also so arrogant, i mean in the beggining of the 3rd...the go for it, that could have been a tied game at the end and OT! then who knows what could have happened...

ARROGANCE, on the radio they are calling him Bill Bellacheat...lmfao.

well i was happy.. i mean i really just dont like the patriots, never have never will.. randy moss used to be one of my favorite players, but now to me hes nothing haha but yeah someone on the Giants D should have got MVP cause they were the real playmakers, especially the D-Line .. you could tell Brady was pissed each time he got hit haha

OcR MYK

One play that cost the Patriots that no one is talking about was the near interception that went through Asaunte Samuel's hands on that winning drive by the Giants. If he would have made that interception, the Patriots could have just ran the clock down and they would have held on to win.

Not that I'm saying that Samuel blew the whole game for the Patriots, but he still made a big "boo-boo."

For sure MYK, that's exactly what I said to my brother when I called him after the game. Just wait, he'll go down in history as "that one guy" that screwed up the perfect season. ESPN loved to find scapegoats and single points of failure to latch on to.

OcR MYK

Haha, they always do that with their beloved Yankees. They always blame A-Rod for their playoff failures.

espn has now begun to bash the partiots and bill, i knew that after they lost it would start but if they had won they wouldnt have said a word.

its just like tiger woods, if he plays good he is the GREATEST and nobody else even exists, if he looses then WOW Phil Mickleson played a Great game...

they kissed their asses till the end and they lost, now it is time to flame them, and Jim Rome Tore into belichick...or belicheat, same dif.

OcR Skier
02-04-2008, 11:07 PM
Rome is a retard and loves to hate on everyone. He is funny to listen to once in a while though. I remember when I was a kid in SD and he had his shitty little radio show that my dad would always make us listen to in the car.

Well Tom Brady did so shitty that night it wasnt funny. I called him another Dan Marino for how much dirt he was eating that night. When he came out of the locker room he just had this pissed off look on his face. But ya that Welker guy was really FAST!!!!

Yea nut it wasn't Brady's fault. The offensive line of the Pats couldn't stop the Giants' rush.

I think it would be cool if everyone in the clan asked him if Brady did a TO?

Reporter: So, what happened to your offensive line? They just seemed as though they weren't there.
Brady: Dey my O-line. Dey my O-line and dat's just wrong. Dat's just wrong if you blame just dem. Wee a teem and wee all to blames. Except for me cause I'm just dat good.
