Well this year we have many good teams in the nba of course the Celtics, Pistons, Spurs and Suns. And we have ther surprise team the New Orleans Hornets. But to find the BEST team in the NBA look no further than the Los Angeles Lakers. Of course we have Kobe who is averaging 28 pts per game. But what makes our team special is the play of the new Pau Gasol averaging 20.5 pts per game and 8.3 rebounds. Lamar Odom, and Derek Fisher also add to the explosive offensive power. Our bench players Walton and Turiof ensure long lasting punishment on our opponents. And when Andrew Bynum returns from injury, the league mind as well give up because the championship is coming to LA. (Who needs Shaq now, obviously not LA nor MIA >:])

Yea I have to agree that right now the Lakers are the best team out there, but Tony Parker is out for the Spurs right now once he gets back I have a hard time justifying that they aren't still the best team in the NBA they are the defending champs...And did you see what the Pistons did to the Suns? yikes

Having grown up in So Cal my history with Lakers goes back to the days when Wilt, West, Baylor, et al, were the big names and the LA vs. Boston finals from the 80's were epic. But I was really disappointed with how the Shaq thing went down. I understand why it did, it was the how that bugged me. Now that big daddy is back in the west, the playoffs will be much more interesting. LA is playing well now, but if Kobe's finger gets worse and he can't play, look for San Antonio to represent. They're the champs and you got to beat them first.
