New TV for Gaming Only

So I just bought a 20' Vizio for $75 and a trade of my older tv from one of my friends. I'm pretty pumped b/c it was cheap and I finally have a tv specifically for halo that I can lan with easily.

So how do you calibrate for lag if it has it? I'm going to set it up tomorrow. Next stop Astro's.

I am getting my mom and dad a vizio 42" and probably my grandma a 32".

They look really great and the best part about Vizio is that they are made in the the USA in California so it keeps the money here. My next tv will def. be a Vizio as well. BUY AMERICAN!!

I would not worry much about lag almost all of them are now around 5 mS response time which is nothing at all in lag terms.

yeah i have a 42" vizio as well, they are really nice, in my opinion i feel that it is just slightly slower than an regular tv, but after a day or so, it gets really easy to get use to.. so it's all good pimp

You're always going to have lag going from a CRT to a LCD but it's really only the most noticeable on the larger screens. You should be fine like Rhino said.

yeah im gonna save my money for somethin important im pretty happy w/ a 36 in 8P

bigger tvs mean u have more to watch. which isnt always an advantage

I just had the power cord dropped off to me at work. So hopefully when I get home I can try it out in the office that I'm converting into office/video game room.

im pretty satisfied with my 32' samsung :) its amazing for halo and greatest thing no 5 or 8m lag hehe

I have a 32" LCD Dynex, which is made by sharp if I am not mistaken. It was pretty cheap, and for not being a name brand tv, it still gives out an amazing picture. Def worth the money.

the 22 inch viewsonic with vga hookup is really good and crystal clear with the 1024 x 780 system setting, and really no lag at all. combine that with astros and you have a winner. :P
