And two head coches fired in two days. First my Rams dumped that disgraceful bum Scott Linehan, and on the next day the Raiders fire Lane Kiffin.

Lane Kiffin didn't deserve the boot. It's not his fault that the Raiders couldn't perform under 1 1/2 seasons under his coaching. Al Davis is a stupid ***** and needs to realize that NO coach can come in and turn around a team that bad in that amount of time. Oh well, I'm a Chargers fan so if they want to keep going through coaches like underwear then we'll set an NFL record for most consecutive wins against the same team :P
Edit: And yeah, I totally agree that it's been a crazy first quarter of the season. My Chargers look like **** and they finished last year with one of the best records in the league :(

I agree. I don't think Al Davis was fair in firing Kiffin. I also think it was very immature of him to go on and on in his press conference ridiculing Kiffin. I mean, you just fired the man for no good reason. I've never cared for Al Davis and this just only puts him lower in my book.

Well CORskier I must say that I blame the Chargers downfall on them firing Marty Schottenheimer...Bad call.

Very true, I didn't agree on that either. You can say all you want about how Marty can't win in the playoffs, but a lot of people don't take into account that the Chargers were a young team with a young quarterback and they very well could have beaten the Patriots that game. He was a great coach whom everyone seemed to get along with (besides maybe the owner :P).

Al Davis is ****ing dumb. He's an old **** who will never see the raiders go to the post season unless he dies or sells the raiders. hah.

Marty Schettenheimer was an old, EXTREMELY conservative A-hole who many Chargers fans couldn't stand. He just made WAY too many old school play calls that would cost them games by 1-5 points. Now Norv Turner came to SD and he makes the EXACT same mistakes. Go figure.

They were a young team and only would have gotten better if he had stayed...

You think you know your teams? You think you know bad playcalling? Let's take a trip to Minnesota, to my Vikings. Childress is a terrible coach.
"Oh, it's 3rd and 1, it's time for a 108 yard bomb to Berrian! They'll never expect it!"
"But, sir, there's only 100 yards to the end zone."
"Oh yeah, that's what I meant. They never expect my bombs down the field on 3rd and 1. They're thinking, "oh they're just going to run." But no! We bomb it out to a guy who drops passes all over the place! I believe in TARVARIS JACKSON!!!" HE'LL CATCH IT!!!"
Please. Fire his bald head before he ruins the season that supposedly was going to be the Vikings' breakout year talk in the offseason.
Thank god the NFC North is so weak, the Vikes are still only 1 game out of 1st place.
When opposing teams only have to worry about containing AP, it is a breeze for them. I would love to be a opposing Defensive Coordinator preparing for the Vikes. All I would say is, "Contain AP." and it's done. Rely on our off passing game. Frerotte is not our answer, neither is Tarvaris "I don't want to play, I just want to eat sunflower seeds" Jackson.
When you see f'ing Kyle Orton, KYLE ORTON of all QB's, throw 3 TD's in the first half against Philly, you know something is wrong with your playcalling. I feel bad for Peterson. He is a great weapon on a terrible team. No wonder he's frustrated.

Well being born in San Diego and living over half my life there kinda makes me an automatic Bolts fan, but I do have to say firing Marty for Norv? Come on Mr. Spanos at least get someone who hasnt failed miserably, not once but twice, at head coaching.
The only reason that I can think of that they picked Norv in the first place is because he is a offense genius and pretty much created the Chargers offense in 2001 when he was O.C. (which btw cam cameron took credit for) I guess what their hoping is that he has the same luck with Rivers, Gates, and Tomlinson that he had with Aikman, Irvin, and Smith in Dallas.
