Whats Up
ANy of you playing any Musical Instruments, just wondering though......Mainly cuz I know most of you don't like the music I listen to Death Metal and Super Hardcore. I have been playing guitar for like 7 years now. I mainly like that type of music because I play those songs that I listen to and they are super awesome. LEt me know if any of you do, because music is so cool in my mind.

These 2 guys did do a Metal song on piano. Listen at 50 seconds, that is the part I tried to learn a while ago. It sounds much better on guitar

I used to play piano and now I play the cello, both with an orchestra and privately. I want to learn guitar, but haven't really had the time or the initiative to learn how to play it.
I love music though, but I like a wide range of stuff... rap, house, classical, electronic, ambience, jam, raggae, ska, alternative. It just depends. Right now, my favorites are Explosions in the Sky, Scroobius Pip, Justice, Deadmau5, The Pixies, Slightly Stoopid, Matisyahu and Lotus.

I played bass for 7 years. Sold my last bass (Fender Jazz) in '06. Hardcore and metal were my favs back in my youth. As I got older I went soft again and listened to The Pixies and MGMT. Still into a lot of styles but really haven't expanded my metal collection in a while, mostly just continue to listen to the new albums of bands I already listened to in that genre. I guess when I wasn't in a band anymore it became hard to keep track of hardcore while not involved in the scene on a weekly basis.

Ya when I was in High school I was into a lot of Hardcore and Metal(Now I mean really insane Metal, don't think most people could take it) music, but after high school I just tended to go towards different types of music. But I still love Metal, I guess the thing is when I hear music. I normally tend to be listening more to the music than the singing, I guess my ears have just been trained to do that after playing guitar for a while.

I started to learn guitar as a hobby a couple of years ago, but I broke both my hands and never really got back into it. At school I was awesome on the piano and keyboard, but my teacher left and her replacement was an old witch, and I ended up getting thrown out of class most days. Music is a cruel mistress.
What bands do you listen to Randy? I love crazy extreme metal, but I usually get so dismayed with modern bands I retreat to the Misfits and the Ramones to get me through the day. And Slayer of course.

Well personally my 2 favourite bands that I can't get enough of right now are The Black Dahlia Murder/As Blood Runs Black. There music is so Melodic. I can play quite a bit of As Blood Runs Black, but The Black Dahlia Murder has some really hard and very fast riffs. Ya well I got carpal tunnel in my left wrist, and it hurt so bad; it took a year for it to heal. Also I never went to the doctor, cuz im poor obviously:( So I ended up having to figure out how to deal with it on my own.

I like TBDM, they tend to keep a quick pace rather than go into endless self satisfying breakdowns. Never heard much As Blood Runs Black, I'll rack them up on youtube while I'm at work today.
