Gaming By Grace 1st Annual Christmas Clan Clash!
First Annual Gaming By Grace Christmas Charity Tournament
Saturday December 20th 2008 4pm west coast/ 7pm east coast [ALL ROUNDS SAME DAY!!!]
THE DETAILS:
We are inviting many different clans and communities to participate, however only eight teams/clans in the community are able to have (1) six man team to participate in this 3 round, best of 3, single-elimination tournament series. This is sure to be a highly competitive and exciting event so submit your team name and roster ASAP!
The eight teams selected will be contacted directly. If your team is not selected (sorry in advance) and you wish to be an available alternate should one team drop, please let us know.
The Winners:
A check for $50 will be sent in the name of the winning team/clan to the charity of their choosing. Please choose charity prior to the event. Plus a championship banner for your website.
Second Place Team: $25 to the charity of their choosing and a banner for their website!
Winnings will be paid by GBG in the form of Check directly too the charity.
THE MAPS/PLAY TYPES:
We will be coming up with some special maps for the Christmas season. Maps will be announced and available 1 week prior to event. These will be special gametypes.
TOURNEY RULES:
Each team has submitted their team of 6 plus up to 6 alternates. Players may be switched in and out between games. Remember ALL rounds will be played on the same day, so please be sure people can play during that time period.
Gaming By Grace is a Christian Clan. We ask that any team entering the tournament to please be mature, respectful and clean in all communications during all phases of the event. If there is bad blood between you and another player, this will not be the place to announce it to the world. It is a time of forgiveness and grace.
We realize that the clans we are inviting are all class acts and the following statement is not meant in any way to disparage or demean another clan. We do however feel that we must clearly state that cheating in any form will not be tolerated and will lead to immediate disqualification from tourney. Cheating, as determined by GBG, is defined by Bridging, standbying, modding, stealing host and or any type of system manipulation to gain an unfair advantage.
LAG ISSUES:
6v6 should help compensate for the lag.
If a team is experiencing heavy lag, each team agrees to stop and restart game before two minutes have passed with out the connection increasing out of red or yellow bar. The maximum restart will be 3 times, after that start number four will be official game regardless of connection.
The host of the game will be responsible for ending a game that has been determined to have too much lag. The non-host team may inform the host team that it would like a restart by STANDING STILL UNTIL THE HOST RESTARTS THE GAME. This must be done BEFORE the 2 minute mark of the game has been reached. It should be obvious to the host team that the other team is standing still. Since we are all trying to do our best to have good games we believe everyone will agree this is the best possible approach.
If you have a team that wants to join please register them at our site
