NHL Winter Classic [Archive]

Well I know most of you dont really give a crap about hockey but this is the 3rd ever NHL winter classic. This is an outdoor hockey game (the way it was meant to be played) at Wrigley Field. The game will be on NBC at 1pm EST tomorrow. If you have nothing to do tomorrow or if your really hung over you should check out this game!

I want to know who do you think will win the game? The power house Detroit Redwings or the defensive minded Chicago Blackhawks?

I can't pick between these two teams... It's too tough of a choice. I'm gonna have to go with the hawks due to the fact that they're a younger team so they should have a better chance fighting against mother nature tomorrow. (I think it's supposed to snow.) But, The Wings beat them 4-0 earlier this week. (BTW I'm rooting for the Wings)

Anyway, I'll definitely be watching it, so lemme know if you wanna sit in a Live party or something.

Anyone see the hit that left a redwing in the blackhawks bench? It led to a goal basically and it was a great hit.

that hit had to be the single coolest thing i have ever seen. you dont really see that hard of a hit and into another teams bench because the guys are afraid of a penalty and the importance of the chicago/detroit rivalry had some influence on it. Im surprised that no one got cut from the dudes razor sharp blades as he was trying to get his footing.

eh i missed the game, working. too late but i would have said wings would win it. im gonna have to watch replays. at least they chose 2 original temas to play in it. i wanna see NYR vs. toronto next year.

Well, Detroit took it but I'm sure you already know that. I was impressed how Chicago kept it even throughout most of the game. I like the comeback they're making, they won't be a Bottom of the Barrel team for long. I'm really excited about the Canada vs. Russia Game tonight (GO CANADA) I hope its even half as exciting as the Canada vs. U.S.A. That was an amazing game.
