Wow, what an interesting matchup. Gives me alot to write about. It's too early for me to say how I think this game will go down, but I rooting for the Cardinals. Don't know my pick yet, though.

I really hope pittsburgh doesn't win. 1. because I hate them 2. their fans tend to be a little on the white trash side. Trust me I live an hour from Pittsburgh.

I can't stand pittsburgh, and not just cause they've walked on the Chargers for the last 3 years. Go Cards!

I voted for Arizona just because maybe if I vote for them it will come true. The cards have no true running game and that is going to kill them vs. the steelers

The big question for teams facing the Cardinals is 'can they keep both Larry Fitzgerald and Anquan Bolden from severely hurting them?' The Steelers have the best defense in the NFL, both their run defense and pass defenses are sensational. As Pimp said, the Cardinals will have no chance in the running game against the Steelers, but they're a passing team anyway. What I'm looking out for is the health of Bolden. If he's healthy, the Cardinals will have a chance. But if he isn't, the Steelers can focus more on Fitzgerald without having to worry much about the double threat with Bolden.
This is going to be a great game. I'll take Pittsburgh, 24-16.

Steelers will win hopefully, but the Cardinals have been getting lucky lately.

i don't think the cardinals have gotten lucky darkness, they deserve to be where they are right now, I just don't see kurt warner being able to pick apart that secondary with polumalu (sp) back there. As for the receivers, Pitt has some pretty good shut down corners and hard hitting ones to boot. We all saw the hit on willis mcgahee... i mean come on, that was just nasty... Pitts d-line is pretty much a wall... ok i mean, casey hampton is the wall, the backers have good speed and can tackle well..... I will say, the cardinals have played their butts off, but i think it ends with pitt. Cardinals do have some experience in Warner and James in the backfield, but i haven't really seen the defense of the cardinals step up and play as well as they are gonna need to play to come away with a W in this one.

I really hope the cardinals pull this out. It will be a bad day if the steelers get another ring. I may just start chucking beer bottles wherever I'm at.

I'm really pulling for Kurt Warner. Everyone in St. Louis loved him when he was a Ram, and I was sad to see him go. I was even more disappointed to see him struggle a little bit with injuries and infrequent playing time since then. Seeing him play like the Kurt Warner I remember along with a couple of very talented wide receivers, that brings back good memories for me of the 'Greatest Show on Turf' Rams teams that I fell in love with as a kid. That team and this years Cardianls team have alot in common, beside what just happens to be Kurt Warner at QB. Both outstanding passing teams, decent overall defense, very good against the run, and fun to watch.
If the Cards win, I think I might just **** my pants.

Well growing up in San Diego makes me hate anyone in the AFC except well the Chargers due to the simple fact that we've never won a freakin Super Bowl. (Thanks Steve Young and Jerry Rice) So I hope the Cards can pull this one out.
Keys to victory in my opinion:
1.) Screen passes to Boldin and Breaston and occasional slant route.
2.) Fades and Posts to Fitzgerald all day baby.
3.) For god's sake don't abandon the running game even if James goes for 22/71. Put Hightower in inside the 20, and if all else fails let J.J. catch a few HB screens.
4.) Sack Worthlessboogers ***. His O-Line isnt good..Despite what the Cargers showed.
I said I wasnt watching the Super Bowl if the Cards didnt make it so lets hope they win.. I mean come on Ravens, Eagles, Pitt? 3 of the dirtiest teams in the league..

I would put the Ravens and Steelers in the dirtiest list, but the Eagles? There are a few other teams I would put ahead of them.

Pitts D is soo tough cuz they have Lamar Woodley(who i met in person he has like 10.5 sacks this year) and Larry Foote as beasty linebackers(and yes they both went to the most prestigious and greatest college of all time-Michigan) lol. Imma have to say steelers win bcuz Defense wins championships, but Im rooting for the underdog. Go Cards.

Just a reminder that during the Baltimore vs. Pittsburgh game when McGahee lay on the ground with a neck injury that could have possibly killed him Pittsburgh played the song "Down on the Corner" after their CB got up and Willis still lay on the ground. Pitts=no class. I thought it was just the players but I guess it's the whole city.

Ummm ever heard of a guy named Brian Dawkins.. he's always good for at least 3-4 uncalled late hits a game..AFTER THE WHISTLE.. not to mention everytime he tackles he leads with his helmet, when's the last time you saw him wrap anyone up.
OcR Bobcat
01-25-2009, 11:13 AM
I agree on Dawkins to an extent. There are way worse players in the nfl when it comes to late hits or leading with your helmet. Let's just hope that ward permenately gets his jaw broke (so he can never smile again) and worthlessburger has a career ending injury but the staff at the stadium decides to play "You only get what you give" by the new radicals as blood and worthlessburgers body lays limp on the field.

Im going to pick the Arizona Cards FTW, i dont like either teams but my favorite teams are always doing horrible year in and year out ( Saints and Raiders LoL )
I already have 3 bets going for it with a few friends, so im hoping the cards win, the big thing they say is that Pittsburg has an incredible D, but with Warner throwing like he used to when he was a champ with the rams, their running game throwing other teams off, and their defense THROWING DOWN, i think if anything it will be very close

I guess on Sunday, everyone will be at the stadium, all the festivities set. Television and radio pregames would have already aired. And when they prepare to announce the teams.... "Uhhhh, yea... guys, we forgot to mention... they kinda already played the game. I guess we can all go home now."
Billions of dollars right down the toilet.
