Congratulations to OcR Horror for being Outcast Reborn's February Member of the Month! OcR Horror has been with us for a long time, has helped out members with signature requests, and is a valued player in our ever growing UK Member base! Heres a little interview I had with our very own Member of the Month.
OcR Hurricane: Where are you from? How old are you? What do you do for a living?
OcR Horror: I'm originally from a tiny pit-village in the north east of sunny England, but I currently live down in a city called Hull. I'm 26 yrs old, and I'm a graphic designer.
OcR Hurricane: When did you first join OcR? How did you find OcR?
OcR Horror: I think I was made a member in Jan/Feb of '08. I found the clan through a link on the Facebook Halo group. My 360 was the first time I played any game online, and had never been part of a clan/community before, so I jumped at the chance.
OcR Hurricane: What (funny, exciting) moment sticks out in your mind when you think of OcR?
OcR Horror: I remember my very first game with a member was SWAT with CORSkier. I did soooo bad, thought it was curtains for me. Then in the second game I did much better. Phew! First time I played with Envy he stuck me on the back of the head, gonna get him back for that one day. Helping out with Savage's recruitment vid was fun too.
OcR Hurricane: What's your favorite gametype to play with the clan?
OcR Horror: Big team or Squad Battle, every time. I like playing objective games as much as slayer, and the more people we get in the merrier. Makes for more fun and better games.
OcR Hurricane: What would you tell recruits or new members about OcR?
OcR Horror: I've said to a lot of people 'If it wasn't for the clan, I wouldn't be playing Halo anymore'. The game is good, but being part of OcR makes it awesome. Just have fun, be excellent to each other, and always rush laser.
OcR Hurricane: Do you have any life goals, or career goals that you would like to share?
OcR Horror: I like doing what I do with regards to work, but I want to do it somewhere nicer. Escaping this wretched city is high priority, but my girlfriend's ongoing education is top priority, so here I must remain for now. Other than that is just to be a better designer. I'd like to learn how to make websites. Life goals are fairly simple. Read more good books, watch less bad TV, grow an epic Charles Darwin beard, stop worrying about things which are inevitable. And complete Project Zero 2. Every time I try I chicken out. It's so scary!
OcR Hurricane: Is there anything about yourself that you would change?
OcR Horror: Get better at Halo would be a good start! I'd like to be more outgoing. I think about things too much. I'd also change my lack of adamantium claws.
OcR Hurricane: Do you have any shout-outs you want to give?
OcR Horror: I'd like to thank the staff and OL's, past and present, for the time and effort they put into the clan and the site. Everyone I've played with, for being great team mates and saving my life countless times. Everybody in OcR has contributed something which has made me either laugh out loud or learn something I would have never figured out alone, so my thanks go out to every single one of you. Hope to play with all of you some day soon. As we say in my native tongue 'HAWAY THE LADS!' (that's northerner for 'GO OcR!'). Laters!
Once again Congrats to OcR Horror on being OcR's February Member of the Month! Be sure to nominate and vote for March's Member of the Month!
