Game 1: MLG v6 Lockdown Oddball
[game=1120303989]
KSI wins 250-107
Game 2: MLG v6 Pit Slayer
[game=1120325977]
KSI wins 50-38
The Pit started with a rush for rockets and custom. Royale gained control of rockets on spawn and got a few kills but KSI grabbed custom and rushed hard through sword. They kept control of sword the entire game with sniper while we controlled long hall and green hall. The game was even up until it was 30-30, when KSI broke away after rushing Snowman with sniper through green and breaking our setup. They then gained control of our side of the map and by the time we recovered, it was too late.
Game 3: MLG v6 Narrows CTF
[game=1120358190]
KSI wins 1-0
Narrows began badly for Royale, with KSI maintaining control of top mid with sniper and them taking rockets. For the next 6-8 minutes KSI kept pushing into our lobby but were unable to successfully take our flag. Braaterz grabbed rockets while they were busy in our lobby and we were able to once again take control of the map, with Thryx sniping from our attic. We almost were able to take a flag but were stopped. With 3 minutes of regulation time left, KSI took out Thryx and got two snipers killing us from top mid. They got rocket respawn and with no power weapons, OcR gave up the only flag cap of the game.
Game 4: MLG v6 Construct KoTH
[game=1120398480]
OcR wins 250-94
While KSI had won the series, they agreed to play all 5 games so we could get all of our applicants in. This game started with a push for the purples at the start of the game. Royale gained complete map control after grabbing rockets, getting all 4 KSI players down on the start. From there we kept control of rockets literally the entire game, with some great BR team shots and also keeping control of custom.
Game 5: MLG v6 Guardian Slayer
[game=1120421641]
OcR wins 50-36
All of OcR's slayers played in this game, and it showed. We burned camo in the beginning after spawning on elbow, and took snipe tower control with sniper, with a score of 10-5. KSI briefly challenged our set up by rushing bottom mid to green, but we were able to hold them off and gain a lead of 20-11. KSI came right back after grabbing camo and taking over snipe tower. However, Royale had an expert push from elbow to snipe 2 and cemented the win with the new snipe respawn.
Overall, KSI won the series 3-2. These were some fun games that taught us a lot about our setups and how we mesh with our new recruits. Thank you to Snowman for linking to the games and help setting this up! We look forward to more games in the future, and hope to keep up good relations between our communities!
