Hey Guys!
It has been an interesting month here at OcR, and it is now coming to a close. There has been some celebration along with some sad news to bear. First lets take a look at the accomplishments of OcR for the month.
Of course, the biggest news of April, OcR is the 2008-2009 GGN League Champions! As most of us know it was a long run, but OcR dominated the league and proved yet again we are a clan worth reckoning. Along with the GGN league we played some friendly recreational matches against: Swat Krue, The Panic Attacks, and Gaming By Grace. These were all great matches that proved to be alot of fun. Yet again, as is our tradition we have in OcR, some of our members attended MLG Meadowlands in New Jersey. Our LAN in New Jersey this year was even better than last year and we hope to keep growing it and improving it every year. This, without the need to say, brings up the most important news in OcR this month. We have some great news of new Staff, New Overlord, and the come back of a retired Overlord. While up in Meadowlands, Envy and Defkism decided it was time for some promotions. We all congratulate OcR RocketR as being the newest OL, OcR McDohl on his comeback from being retired OL to active once again, and OcR just iLL on coming back to his spot as Chief Of Staff. We are all proud to have these as leaders.
As with any video game and with any clan there comes a time when people begin to fall away from gaming. With all the good news this month I regret to inform you (and reinform most) of our loss of OcR Savage. He was a great and very active member of OcR and he will be missed. If you missed his thread he gave some shout outs and a saddening yet elogant goodbye here.
With the closing of April, OcR is going through some good changes on our competitive teams. For those who are members who are interested in joining make sure to check out threads for each of our teams. We now have OcR Retribution, OcR Royale, and our Grifball team OcR Revelation. Practice times and information are discussed in each thread.
Last but not least, lets not forget about DONATION DRIVE 2009! As you all know the upkeep and hosting of any website is expensive. At OcR we have one of the best clan websites, and we are striving to keep it that way. Our Donation Drive was a great success so thank you all who donated! If you are like me and were broke the whole time the donation drive was up and did not get a chance to donate, you can still donate by going to the top of the page and under Clan click Donate.
April has been a great month guys and we look forward to whats to come in May. A few things not to forget about: MoM's errr I mean Member of the Month, and OcR Top 10 Videos of All Time. Thanks for a great month,
