On Sunday Night, Royale took on HaloCharts in a competitive, 4v4 scrim. This was one of Royale's first times playing in our new team format, and it ended in success.

Game 1: MLG v6 Onslaught CTF

This game started with Royale rushing hard on both top A and top B. HC killed us all on the opening push and began pushing towards our base. After a few close calls, HC managed to get our flag out of the base and score the first flag cap, gaining a 1-0 lead. Royale came back, taking control of top mid and scoring 2 flag caps within 2 minutes. HC had a strong push on A side and almost stopped our 3rd cap, but Royale killed their team and finished it off.

Game 2: MLG v6 Construct Slayer

Construct Slayer started with a push by Royale to top Gold and top Closed, while HC rushed top Open and top sword. HC held dominance in lobby and got a 5-3 lead. The game was close until Royale cemented rockets and got a 12-6 lead. HC got the first custom and took back lobby control. The game went back and forth, with HC controlling lobby most of the game, but Royale managed to win the game holding the closed and open streets.

Game 3: MLG v6 Narrows Slayer

As soon as we spawn on Narrows, Royale chose to rush all four men top mid and flank their sniper. We managed to do just that, grabbing rockets in the process. HC came back with a mancannon flank and took top mid control from us. From there, it was a sniper battle, with Royale at blue lobby and HC at top mid. Thryx killed several of their top mid players and Royale pushed all the way to red lobby, where we held HC until we got the win.

Game 4:MLG v6 Pit CTF

While Royale had won the series at this point, we decided to keep playing for extra practice and fun. The Pit started with Royale rushing green hall and custom. We quickly gained control of the map, despite HC holding down sword side with sniper most of the game, and managed to get a flag cap in the first 4 minutes. From there, Royale held on control of rockets and custom and played strong to their setup.
Royale wins 3-0
Game 5: MLG v6 Guardian Oddball

Royale was in for quite a surprise on Guardian; HC had some insane sniping ability on this map. HC got a lead in the first few minutes, gaining 16-0, until Royale killed the ball carrier and had a comeback of its own before dying. The game remained virtually tied for the first 5 minutes until Royale had a strong push on sniper tower and grabbed ball. We gained a 50 second lead until HC flanked snipe tower from elbow. From there, Royale took ball to Gold and blue and kept running with it until the time ran out.
Royale wins 217-115
Overall, Royale won the series 5-0. These were some fun games that helped us get some chemistry down and test out our strats against good competition. I'm going to give MVP of these games to OcR Thryx for going positive every game with some good sniping on Narrows.Thank you to HC CallMeDaddy for setting this up with us and to Jordan for hosting the games, despite having the wrong settings lol.
