This 2009 Spring season, Outcast Reborn journeyed into a new realm of competitiveness. After talks between OcR Ubur Geek and OcR Viceraz in early March, the formation of a Grifball team began. At first it was a scramble to create a steady roster, with people signing up and then deciding that Grifball wasn't for them. With time, however, we steadily gained more dedicated members and formed our current team roster.

Signing up at Grifball.com, we originally named the team Outcast Reborn because we would be representing our beloved clan. Later, following the example of the other competitive teams, we opted for a more personal title: Outcast Revelation. With the roster, team name, and preferred match day all set, we were prepared to enter the official Grifball League.

Division 7, Sword Conference. This contained the teams we would be competing against for the 5 weeks. The division contained three Legacy teams, teams that have participated in previous Grifball leagues. Typically teams that are Legacy are stronger due to experience, and the weakest teams have often dropped out of the league. Being placed in our strong division could be considered a blessing, because it guaranteed at least 6 games would be played without forfeits and it would provide the best experience for our players to base their growth in Grifball on; however, it can also be considered a curse, because such a strong division would make coming out of the season with a decent record very difficult for our new team. As the season played out, I believe it was both.

As chances had it, the two non-Legacy teams ended up forfeiting all their games against us. Though this guaranteed 4 wins, it preventing us from actually earning them.

*Any game write-ups about Griball would be repetitive and redundant, so just the stats and results will be posted*

Great write up vice. A lot of the matches you lost were very close! It's cool you put this team together and trained them as well as you did. Best of luck in the future!!

those are some of the highest scoring grifball games ive ever seen WTF

i don't know if that's good or bad lol

As chances had it, the two non-Legacy teams ended up forfeiting all their games against us.

why would they forfeit?

it's all so confusing..

Real Grifball is 9 rounds, not 5. Bungie shortened the game length to make them fit in matchmaking. MM games have a max of 15 minutes, and Grifball MM has round lengths of 3 minutes, so they made it 5 rounds. Real Grifball has no time limit. 9 rounds, good go all day, but it never works that way haha.

Teams that forfeit tend to be forfeit factories, forfeiting most if not all of their games. They do this because they sign up to the league thinking they will participate, and then decide to disappear off the face of the planet. It is really annoying, it happens with dozens of teams each season.
