On Wednesday Night, Royale took on GBG in a competitive, 4v4 scrim.

Game 1: MLG v6 Pit CTF

Royale had an initial push with 2 taking custom, 1 for sniper, and 1 for rockets. We ended up with gaining custom and killing their rocket user. Royale got an early lead on GBG with a flag cap within 3 minutes after holding rockets at spawn. However, GBG came back and pulled OcR's flag all the way to their base twice before Royale was able to return it and get a rebound cap. Finally, once getting custom and sniper, Royale pushed for flag once more and scored to end the game.
Royale wins 3-0
Game 2: MLG v6 Lockdown Oddball

Royale sent three men to tower and carbine control but ended up getting neither. GBG got a huge lead with the ball. While Royale continued pushing for ball, GBG kept rushing hard and it was hard for either team to get a good lead. With one minute left, the score was 170-170 and after struggling for 30 seconds, Royale got up to 188 seconds with 25 seconds remaining. However, GBG managed to kill all 4 OcR members and grabbed the ball to win the game by 10 seconds.

Game 3: MLG v6 Construct KoTH

Royale got the closed side spawn and immediately pushed for rocket control up top. GBG got to it first but after killing their rocket person, OcR was able to maintain rockets for most of the game as well as custom when it spawned at 13 minutes. However, GBG had dominant control up top with a strength in numbers strategy and got a whole minute lead on Royale by the time there was 5 minutes remaining. Using clutch sniping by Memory and superb teamwork, as well as hill time by myself, OcR came back and won a VERY close game by only 8 seconds.

Game 4: MLG v6 Guardian Slayer

As the game started, Royale gained control of snipe tower and GBG burned camo. With a slim lead, Royale continued to hold sniper tower using mauler and sniper while GBG continually held camo control. In the end, it was 35-34 Royale when Thryx and Walk pushed up into camo and killed their whole team. From there, Royale spawn trapped GBG at green until the game ended.
Royale wins 50-40
Overall, Royale won the series 3-1. I'm going to give MVP to Memoryyyy for tearing it up during the entire series with the sniper rifle and a thanks to Risen GBG for inviting us to the match! These were some close games that helped us cement some holes in our strats, thanks for the games GBG! Hope to get some more games!
