OK, so I attempted my second self montage, I posted this in the private section over at Spartan Gaming to get some help and advice. Now that the video is in final form, I'd like to submit this publicly and see what "YOU OCR POUNDers" think? I know its not perfect but I'm learning, it's pretty basic with little special effects, Someday I hope to be decent at it. :D

anyway thanks in advance for watching and any advice!

OK, fella's Its been a bit of a long journey trying to fix little things here and there in my second attempt at a self montage. You all have helped me Greatly in seeing small and tiny fixes. While I know the music and the mostly third person Camera angle were my choice, but I have to agree with Cleric on this one!

I think the standard montage is getting old. Every montage has a bunch of stuff that everyone has done before with the exception of 1 or 2 clips.

In the end I would like to encourage you all to attempt a self montage as its quite a learning experience. The movie editor I use is in depth and more advance[Magix] then Windows Movie maker, but I fumbled my way through it with the help of Scotch and Alive! ;)

So now I would like to submit to you what I "think" might be my final cut. Those of you who can stomach another view of the video please do and let me know if its better. I fixed all the stutter stop parts, got rid of a lot of the transitions and added another angle clip onto the credits. Oh and I learned how to fade the music out at the end with the help of Alive and Scotch. Thanks for all the help and feel free to point out anything more you see.

be sure to click the "HQ" [High Quality]

thanks,

I thought it was cool but the one thing about a first person view is that you can see all the "double kill, triple kill, etc" and it just gets your blood pumping.

I agree. I think that if you can get a good mixture of first person views as well as third person to mesh with each other then it adds that much more to your montage.

The quality is actually really really good, and the transitions are real smooth. I'd suggest less 3rd person POV and try to speed up the time in between multi-kills. Other than that you're doing great. Keep up the good work!

Yeah and I think that you should keep the Medals on when you're in First Person view.
'Cause sometimes I honestly don't know if you got the Kill lol
(i.e. that no scope around 0:54)

Thanks guys for the advice!

The thing about the speed...........

I can see I can speed up a film segment, but you suggested to speed up in between multi kills within the clip....I don't know if I know how or where the option is to do that?

again, I see how to speed up the clip in whole, but not just part of the clip?

I'm starting the third attempt at a montage and will impliment some of your all's advice, thanks and will post here when its ready.

thank OCR!!!!!

If you split the clip up you should be able to speed up just one section of it.

Some nice work with that Sniper in the pit near the beginning, and the Killtrocity was bomb.
