Hey guys,

are there any competitive swimmers out there? If so, post your fav. events or something?

And for everyone who thinks Competitive swimming is girly, think again! Look at the advantages we have in Halo. We can... play longer and harder and umm.... hold our breath when sniping? (Wait...that only helps in real life....DAMN IT!)

I do semi-competitive swimming, as in, I only like to do non-formal matches. I have a phobia of formal competitions in real life >.>

But hey, swimming is NOT girly at all. And men with swimmer's muscles are hot.

Kitty you have a phobia of competitions? :err: Swimming...There's this kid at my school who swims competitively and he said multiple times how he's completely shaven. Tell me that's not girly.

So what if I have a phobia? At least I don't freak out when I see bugs or heights or demonic space gophers...

And you have to be shaven! Hair slows you down.

Everyone's got a phobia it's just you're the first person who I've heard of having a phobia of competitions. Whatever lol it's still weird even if hair does slow you down.

I have a friend who frequently waxes his entire body. Minus the hair on his head (he does have his eyebrows and eyelashes)

lol, shaving is necessary! you can't go fast with bushy arm pits! and we don't shave our head because that is what swim caps are for :D

and precision, don't tell me you don't wish you had a smexy swimmer's body. (or a toned female swimmer:humped:)

I don't swim competitively but I do to work-out. It's great cardio and I can swim like a jackass using bad form on purpose to work out muscles that are harder to hit in the gym, also do some surfing get a lot of swimming in there it's not girly if I surf for a day the swimming will burn me out and put me on my ass for the rest of the day.

I used to be a swimmer in HS. But i couldnt do it my Senior Year
My coach used me as a distance swimmer
Times from memory are

500- 6:34
200 - 2: something...
200 IM - 4 something (Damn Fly lol)
Backstroke: 1:30
50 Free

I was a swimmer up till my Senior Year in HS. i didnt have time to join.
my coach used me as a distance swimmer mostly
my times from wat i can remmebr are

500 - 6:34
200 - 2:10ish
200IM - 4 something... i cant do butterfly
50 Free- 26.8
100 Free- 58 seconds

and thats all i cna remember.
but yea i love swimming.

haha, yeah I know. remembering them is hard. BUT HOW CAN YOU NOT LIKE FLY!!! I mean, who needs breathing anyway :D

hah, it might be because of flexibility. know many people that just can't swing their shoulders that way.

And im definitely 1 of those ppl. Im pretty good at backstroke and Breast stroke (bow chica) but overall im distance.

I used to swim when I was in middle school. I kept loosing to some kid who would leave before they shot the gun. I guess that the officials were blind. I wouldv'e had atleast 5 wins at meets if that kid didnt cheat.

...and the Bruins might have won the Cup if Scott Walker was suspended for that sucker punch, but unfortunately shit happens.
