Impending Server Transfer

UPDATE 2: The server was down again for the better part of the day today. Services are fully restored now and I apologize for any problems this may have caused.

UPDATE: The server move is complete however this server move has broken many of the features on our website. Envy and myself are currently away on vacation or else we would be on top of this right now. :( I came on just to give you guys a heads-up that we are aware of the problems. Please bare with us for the time being. Thanks.

Unfortunately I received a troubling email this morning regarding our cpu usage on our semi-dedicated server. This time it is directly related to our bungie.net spotlight and not a server problem. Because of the high traffic and concurrent users they are forcing us to upgrade our account status.

The upgrade should take place in the next few days with hopefully minimal downtime. The site may be down for 24-48 hours at most but this time no information will be lost. This is all I have right now for a time line but I will update this thread as I get more information.

I will say nightmare has a point, but at the same time HDD failures happen, total flukes. It does suck that it screwed a lot of people over, *shrug* but it's just the business world, and thats the way things work. not trying to make anyone rage tho, carry on.

Well like I said, they are a pretty good company, that ran into something unexpected that brought horrible results, and it just happened to be at the same time as all of the bungie spotlight such and such, just a couple of coincidences, but they could discount the price of the first payment, or series of payments, but thats something that I will leave up to Envy to rage about :P

I would have to disagree with that. They have been nothing but a pain in the butt to work with for Envy and myself. We have had more than just these problems in the past two weeks with them.

Rhino, we have talked about that, but in order to get a cheaper price when we first signed up with them, we had to buy a longer term deal. We've already paid the money. When that goes out we will be switching hosts.

It's disappointing because they had great reviews for the longest time by many respected users. Not long after we signed up, other users started to report problems similar to the ones we have encountered.

Swick, the traffic isn't likely to last, but there isn't anything we can do. We already told them that this is just temporary, but they are requiring us to upgrade or they will suspend our account.
