I'd love any idea's, fix's or suggestions on how to make them better!. I just started making videos and am currently on my third attempt at learning to Montage. I'm a noob LoL
As for starting a thread, is it any problem to put a file front link? You tube wouldn't let me have the music I wanted so I posted two copies of the third montage. One with the music sinc-ed up and the way I intended it to be [ that's the file front one you'd have to download to your pc and watch.]
The other is a You tube version but with music they had me throw on there instead [FAIL]
The only frustration on my end in posting the file front link is it seems very few people take the time to download the it , they rather just click a youtube link for quick viewing.
So I may post the file front link and leave it up for a couple of days, and then if there are people who can't view it or refuse to take the time, I'll post the You tube lesser version for easy viewing.
Please feel free to give me tips and advice no matter how harsh you all might convey it! Its cool with me, I need to learn.

I'm downloading as we speak...I'll post when I'm done watching!
EDIT: I'll post whats "good" and what "needs work".
Good:
-You used MUCH less 3rd person POV than in your first two projects.
-You did a great job of syncing up your music.
-The editing was pretty darn good for someone new to editing. The clips flowed well and were pretty entertaining.
Needs Work:
-I still feel like there's a little too much 3rd person POV's. This is just my opinion though. In the future, if you're going to use 3rd person POV's, try spreading them out a little more. I feel like the minute or so was filled with mostly 3rd person.
-This isn't really a "needs work" kind of thing, but for future projects you should uses the "Y,Y,Zoom" trick to make sure your crosshair is visible. If you notice on some of the clips the aiming reticule isn't visible and the way to fix that is by pressing Y,Y,Zoom on your xbox contoller. That's just a little editors trick :-)
This is all completely constructive. I'm truly impressed by how much progress you're made Nam! You're going to be a great editor if you keep practicing and working on new techniques. If you ever have any questions man, feel free to shoot me a PM here, or contact me through AIM: GetToWorkGary.
I'll gladly help you with anything you need, and I can send you in the direction of some great editing tutorials that helped me master some cool techniques.
Good work man!

cool and thanks, Between OCR and 2 other forums, I'm learning alot. Seems a lot of you like the First person [mostly] view, So I will implement that in my 4th attempt.
YY Zoom huh? I'll try that for sure!!!
As for being good someday, I'd be glad to just have my vids watchable LoL
Thanks Doomy:notworthy:

Ooo, PS.
IS THE YY zoom thing when I have the camera off my spartan or in first person mode? also I do this as I'm recording the clip right?
example:
I have the shot from the side[maybe showing incoming enemies] then hit YY zoom, and that puts the camera back in First person hiding the timer and gamer tag but showing the reticule? right?
sorry for the confusion.

That's correct! So it's only really needed if you're shooting in 1st person and want to see the reticule.

Sweet thanks,
also for those who weren't able to download and comment to help me out, Here's the You tube version with MUSIC THEY had me put on there not sinc-ed up!
I removed to repetitive clips and replaced them with new ones...either way with all your advice hopefully the next video will be better.
thanks
