Clantacular.com MLG 1v1 Tourney

Hey everyone, it has been a while since I have last stopped by, life has been kinda hectic for me so I haven't been anywhere much. My clan is picking up the activity again with the new Clantacular.com Fall 09 Season underway. Clantac is starting the Fall 09 Season with a couple tournaments with small prizes and no entry fee. Our first tourney is a MLG 1v1 Tourney. Here is what one of the other admins that announced it said:

That's right!!! With the start of the new season comes new battles and I thought we would start off strong with a little MLG. For this event it will be a 1v1 event all players welcome. We will be using MLG version 6 or higher. If you do not have these maps or games you can get them off my file share, my GT is TRs Saint.

This event will be a 1 round elimination with each round being a best of 3 games. They will all be MLG slayer first to 50 kills. The maps will be Guardian,The Pit,and amplified.SPARTANs ONLY no elites allowed.

In order to compete you must be registered on clantac and your GT must be spelled correct. Any players who show up flaged after a game will forfit the match.

We are looking for at least 16 players but more are welcome. Sign ups start today and will be open for 1 week so tell all your friend and get them on clantac.I will announce the date of the event at the end of sign ups.

THIS IS FOR PRIZES (ex.. Tee shirts, layanrds, posters,mouse pads, key chains )

Wow thats kinda harsh dont you think. I mean what did we really ever do to cause these feelings. OcR Poseidon dont seem to have a problem with us, hes still posting on clantac. I dont want hard feelings between us please let me know if there is a way to resolve this issue.

I have taken alot of steps to better my site and to make everyone happy. I reset my ladder and my token count to start fresh. I've added MLG into the mix because i know the thats what players wanted. I shorten my staff list and reprimanded my MC's and gave strict instructions not to get involved in the fights or the BS that some have been getting into with members. We are working on new ladders for COD and maybe forza. I'm doing all i can to make clantac what it used to be when it started and move the site forward. I value members and teams like Outcast and dont want bad blood between us. I'm trying to resolve this issue before its to late.

Clantacular.com in the Halo 2 days was amazing. We loved Daemon, Hydro and the rest of the team. OcR participated in many events and matches and gained many friends and allies from the site. Those where the days of clantac, those days are over. The site is old, out dated and bearly working. If you want to see the site return to the glory days of old it's time for a complete redesign and a significant change to the group of people running it.

Saint, the way you handled yourself personally on the TTL/GGN I was amazed to find out you where the one in charge over there. The way your staff has repeadily treated our membership shows that you are promoting people based on something less than what it takes to be a qualified moderater/leader. Maybe popularity? We didn't take a stance until what transpired with Poseidon and that was the straw that broke the camels back.

In any case OcR will not participate officially in any clantacular.com events or tournaments. Our members are more than welcome to do as they wish as always, but I wouldn't expect much.

I am sorry that OcR feels that way about Clantacular.com and seriously, everything is just a massive sucker punch. We have been trying our best, I have been trying my best to keep this site alive. We are constantly making improvements to the site, and people think that its so easy just to redesign the site when people do not understand that there is way too much custom coding that ties everything together. I personally have been giving ideas but we do not have the funds to get a coder to do the work and Demon isn't going to just let anyone into the system. Yes its a phpbb2 site but there is soo much stuff that would fail during the upgrade. I was promoted to Admin not because of popularity, because I'll tell you what, I was one of the least popular because I sided with the rest of the Admin when they were trying to make a change. Also against Poseidon when all he would do is constantly bash everyone and not allow things to happen. Whenever I came up with ideas or anyone else did, he would bash it and cause problems on Clantac. I am Admin now because I felt that I could make a change and since then, Clantac has been on the rise back to glory. Demon saw that in me and made the decision to see what I could do. Since I have become an Admin, soo much has already changed. If you went to Clantac now, you would already see that the things Clantac was, is starting to come back. We may never see Clantac as active or as big as it was during Halo 2 but we are sure as hell going to try our best to get as close as we can. I am really disappointed that OcR out of all communities would just turn their backs on us like that.

But it is, we've done it 4 times with outcastreborn.com

It's hard to "turn your back" on a web site. The people whom we had developed a friendship with are no longer there. We visited and used the site because of the people. I know you some what Trigger but I feel no tie or bond to you that would make me feel as if I owe you and have to use clantacular.com

I'll never beg for player/teams to stay on clantac. I am great leader despite what some may think, and I punish my admin just the same as the members and have changed the admin team around countless times to make members happy. I am working with my admin to keep them in line and to teach them to work with members not against them. As for my site upgrades we can only do so much with our custom script. You site is no way close to our site in terms of custom coding so you can not say its easy to change. If you guys feel this way and if there's no way to change your minds then so be it. I hope that the OcR leaders and myself can be civil with each other and keep a working relationship going so maybe one day we might be able to put the bad times behind us. Your all more then welcome on clantac whenever you want there's no hard feelings on your thoughts or choices only regret on my part that there was nothing I could say or do at this time to keep a VET team like OcR from shunning clantac. I do ask a favor from the leaders of OcR, at no time will I bad mouth your team or your site to any other player,team,or site all I ask is you do the same for me. I have a hard enough task ahead of me with rebuilding clantacs rep as it is.

No our site may not include as much coding as yours, however there is very little custom coding. You have 3 standard scripts installed and bridged together, Demon did not write them himself.

I think we are done here. Good luck with your efforts Saint, OcR will be keeping an eye on you, clantacular and both reputations. In time maybe we will revisit our stance.
