Congratulations to OcR Doom for being voted MoM of August. We are all proud of you buddy! So without further ado here is his interview:
OcR Valorius: Where are you from? How old are you? What do you do for a living?
OcR Doom: I am from Albany New York, I am 21 years of age, and I work for a company called Merch Now (www.merchnow.com (http://www.merchnow.com/)). We're a subset of Equal Vision Records, and we distribute band merchandise through our web store.
OcR Valorius: When did you first join OcR? How did you find OcR and what made you want to join?
OcR Doom: I joined OcR in Febuary of 2009. I used to play with a group of guys called the Wizards of War and we rolled around in BTB on a regular basis. We would play OcR quite often in matchmaking, and we even challenged them to a friendly match quite some time ago. One day, I decided I wanted more than what WoW was offering me, so I joined Outcast Reborn.
OcR Valorius: What (funny, exciting) moment sticks out in your mind when you think of OcR?
OcR Doom: The moment that is most memorable to me is the OcR LAN at MLG Meadowlands. Not only was it my first MLG event, but it was my first time meeting some of the guys I had been gaming with. As it turns out, the group of guys I met at Meadowlands ended up being some of my closest friends here at OcR. I will never forget Defkism vs. Rhino in the FIRST EVER Drunk Halo Deathmatch 1v1. Haha.
OcR Valorius: : What's your favorite gametype to play with the clan?
OcR Doom: This question is very difficult to answer. I enjoy playing pretty much anything with the clan. If I had to choose, I'd say big team battle is my favorite gametype to play with OcR, but I also enjoy MLG customs with the Royale boys.
OcR Valorius: What would you tell recruits or new members about OcR?
OcR Doom: You'll like it here. It's as simple as that! Don't be afraid to take initiative if you're a new member. It won't hurt you to step up to the plate!
OcR Valorius: Do you have any life goals, or career goals that you would like to share? What drives you to complete these goals?
OcR Doom: Well, I'm a college graduate with plans to attend college (yet again) in January. I'm looking to earn a degree in cinematography and video editing. My life goal is to work for a film production company where I can edit movies. I have friends in the movie business, and I believe they're my inspiration and their success is my drive.
OcR Valorius: Is there anything about yourself that you would change?
OcR Doom: If I could change anything about myself, it would be my inability to say no to my friends. I often find myself wondering "why did I agree to this?" It's not necessarily a bad characteristic, but it can be quite detrimental at times.
OcR Valorius: What is the most embarrassing thing you have ever done in real life?
OcR Doom: Growing up I lived in a trailer park in a small rural town outside of Albany. I knew all of the children in the trailer park quite well, and we would get together everyday during the summer to play whiffle ball. My Mom and Dad were out one day and had my neighbor watch me. We started a mean ole game of whiffle ball when I had the sudden urge to use the restroom (#2). I told myself that I could make it, and that I would wait until after my turn at bat. It turns out I couldn't make it and shouldn't have waited. I swung, and released my bowels in my shorts. With my parents out, and neither my neighbor or myself having a key to my home, I had to sit and wait for my Mom and Dad to get home. I wore my neighbors' daughters shorts while I sat in the house waiting. Terrible day.
OcR Valorius: Do you have any shout-outs you want to give?
OcR Doom: I just want to thank everyone that welcomed me here with open arms. I'm glad I ended up here and I am truly thankful for all of the friends I have made.

Every game of Halo I play goes out in loving memory to Ryan "Fearless Sh0t" Whyte. Ryan was a great friend who made Halo what it is for me. I love you Pal, rest in peace.
