I'm looking forward to this too, but it's getting quite limited releases, probably have to be dvd for me. Shame decent horror gets sidelined while cookie cutter chick flicks get worldwide support.

I would imagine its only in select theaters because it doesn't have that big of a backing from a distribution company. There are tons of movies that go to select theaters. We have a theater locally that picks up movies just for this. :P

Thats because there hasnt been a true really good horror movie in years. Some people say that the best horror movies are from now days when in reality they ll just epicly fail for the most part.

i saw it last week. if ur looking for constant action this movie is a verry slow building suspense. supposedly there are 3 endings but the one i saw was freaky and there isnt much variation.
It takes the creepyness of your house and does make you hear stuff and freak out afterwards and it took me an extra hour or 2 to get to sleep that night.

It was the best paranormal movie i had seen and if u live alone good luck getting to bed after u see it.

Edit: if you have people talking behind you early on tell them early to shut the f*** up because the people behind us were ruining suspence moments that would have been awesome.

If you weren't open to the likes of the first Blair witch movie then yes you most likely will not like this.

I think there's different types of people out there, some will love it, and some won't.

I can't blame you for not liking it, you kind of had to let your mind go there and feel what they were feeling. Set yourself in a dark room alone to watch it. More or less pretend...you know...imagination. But like I said, some people can do this and enjoy it, some think to factually when it comes to movies and can't wrap their mind around what the director's trying to do.

either way I respect your opinion, to me it wasn't the best, but it was something worth watching if you like that sort of thing.

Fourth Kind looks interesting. The trailer is creepy and it's apparently based on true events. Fingers crossed!

The thing with Paranormal Activity was that it just failed to maintain any kind of tension. They had some great scenes like the ouija board and the various nighttime occurrences, but nothing ever came of them and they were broken up by the two idiot main characters acting like it was a minor irritation and the boyfriend making out like he was gonna go beat a ghost up. I watched it alone in my apartment at like 1am and was bored throughout. Blair Witch got tense to the point of being unbearable, and the last few minutes were a lesson in great horror. Paranormal Activity farted it's whole setup into the wind with a completely dumb ending.

It wasn't a particularly bad movie, I'm just lamenting the waste of a good opportunity. If the characters weren't so annoying and unsympathetic and the ending didn't blow as hard I'd have enjoyed it loads more I reckon. Hopefully they'll put the original ending on the dvd.

I too am looking forward to the fourth kind. Much like Horror, my fingers are crossed. I was also really disappointed with this movie, don't get me wrong I was cared at a couple of points but It wasn't all it was made out to be. Oh well.

Hahaha My girlfriend started crying in the theatres, and periodically during the night when she heard sounds keeping me up all night,so i hate the movie. but other than that the movies tight.
