Alright! Well by a very close one vote margin OcR Precision has won out as our honored October Member of the Month! Congrats OcR Precision you have made an awesome addition to our clan here! Here is his interview:
OcR Valorius: Where are you from? How old are you? What do you do for a living?
OcR Precision: I grew up in a small town about 30 minutes from Boston called Foxboro. I'm 17, and currently a Junior in high school. One more year, and I'm free.
OcR Valorius: When did you first join OcR? How did you find OcR and what made you want to join?
OcR Precision: I first joined not so long ago back in early August. I was looking through random montage vids on YouTube and saw an OcR recruitment video, watched it, and wanted to find out more. I read the About Us and Code of Conduct and loved what I saw. The reason I wanted to join was because of the foundations OcR is built on. Teamwork, skill, respect, sportsmanship and a strong sense of competitiveness; with fun thrown in there :P. OcR is the perfect balance of structure and sanctuary that makes for a kick-ass environment.
OcR Valorius: What (funny, exciting) moment sticks out in your mind when you think of OcR?
OcR Precision: I haven't been here all that long, but there have already been a lot of good times. Be it the recruit night or customs, (finally) matchmaking with some dependable people no matter the occasional shenanigans, the FLAG tournament, and the absolutely shot in the dark discussions, it's all been great. I'm looking forward to many many more.
OcR Valorius: : What's your favorite gametype to play with the clan?
OcR Precision: It's really tough to choose a favorite when I'm playing with the clan. Big team though, if it really came down to it. Halo, though overshadowed at the moment, is such a great game when you have a party that knows what they're doing. Plus, big team makes for some ultimate shenanigans. Them thar griffballers are pretty fun to play with as well.
OcR Valorius: What would you tell recruits or new members about OcR?
OcR Precision: Don't sell yourself short, nor give yourself too much credit. OcR is chock-full of people willing to help in any way they can, so don't hesitate to ask for tips, or ask questions. If you get to rep the OcR name, do it correctly and respectfully. Set a good example for others through sportsmanship and gameplay. I'm sure I can safely say that reputations such as OcR's aren't built overnight, so don't take it for granted. Most importantly, be yourself and have fun.
OcR Valorius: Do you have any life goals, or career goals that you would like to share? What drives you to complete these goals?
OcR Precision: My life goals tie in with my career goals at this point I'd say. I want to be able to have a comfortable future, be able to provide for my family, and be able to look back and say "I enjoyed getting here". I love electronics. I'm interested in information technology, which is a pretty broad/vague statement. Honestly, I'm still deciding. I would love to play college baseball though. Another possibility is military service; I've always had the utmost respect for those who serve day in and day out, in unspeakable environments, to protect the freedoms so many of us take for granted. I'd like to do my part and give back the same that those before me have given.
OcR Valorius: Is there anything about yourself that you would change?
OcR Precision: If I had the chance to change something about myself, I think it'd be my somewhat quiet personality.
OcR Valorius: What is the most embarrassing thing you have ever done in real life?
OcR Precision: That's a tough one. I may have to come back on this one...:err:
OcR Valorius: So there was this tourny we played in together, and when we begin to play one match all you did was walk into a wall. And then we got dominated when you left. How do you redeem yourself sir??
OcR Precision: Oboe=lag-switch. Haha no, I felt awful about that. It was wicked fun though, no doubt. We played great for the most part, scratch our last series in the winner's bracket. Lycan and I would make a pretty good duet in karaoke if I do say so myself ;)
OcR Valorius: Do you have any shout-outs you want to give?
OcR Precision: I'll say this. Everybody I've played with or talked to has been great. It wouldn't be the same ass-kickery or warm welcoming atmosphere without you guys (and girl). I'm looking forward to more good times. Thanks for the votes, I appreciate it, though I'm not sure I deserved this one :nah:.
