What is the best perks to apply when choosing a sniper? I just want to know the best setup or different setups people use.

i use stopping power, scavenger, steady aim and claymores

some ppl will debate that stopping power isnt always needed to get one shot body kills though. and so they replace that with cold blooded

i on the other hand do feel a difference in 1 shooting with or without Stopping power
so i use it.

(someone fix double post plz)

For Intervention:

Sleight of Hand Pro - Really helps quick scoping.
Stopping Power Pro
Steady Aim Pro - Helps for no scoping and hard scoping, as it gives longer hold breath.

For M21:
Scavenger Pro - Use this because its generally not a one hit kill, so you can go through bullets quite fast (especially if you spray and pray).
Stopping Power Pro
Steady Aim Pro

Says it all right there.

i think for beginning go with steady aim once you get pretty good you rarely need to hard scope and can use ninja which is an awesome perk. However if you are using a silencer on the sniper steady aim is much better.

i woul go with scavenger, stopping power, then steady aim (until you get comfortable then switch to another 3rd perk)

Scrambler is good while sniping cause if ur in a good spot its hard for the other person to find you on radar buying u precious seconds to either turn around and kill him, if u hear him. or get a kill far range

Scrambler kinda lets people know that you are there though.

Yeah, I find that it more often than not hurts you to have it.

Claymores are a necessity, especially if you plan on camping in one area. If they dont kill the enemy, they at least give a warning that someone is trying to sneak up on you.

I have exactly zero kills with claymores through 2 prestiges.

lol just yesterday I called in a Harrier while sniping because my claymore got me the 7th kill. I pretty much rely on claymores while I snipe.

I can see how they are useful, but I just love my throwing knife.

i never use claymores for the reason that i never stay in one spot like most snipers do. i use semtex or frags tho. But darkness im not sure what you like. what works best for me might not work good for you. Try anything here that people have said and see what works

if ur using scrambler you would be better off with ninja and cold blooded, as soon as i see any haze on my radar im checking for the scrambler guy and his teammates

I do the exact same thing. It lets me know that someone is near, rather than what I believe they intended it to do.

I used to rely on Stopping Power but I'm slowly recognizing that the advantage is a small one and using that slot for other perks. Right now I'm testing Sleight of Hand Pro, Cold-blooded Pro, and Sit-Rep Pro. I'm using those because Cold-blooded Pro turns off the red lettering above your head and makes you harder to spot when camoflaged. Also, I've had a couple of cases where I wasn't recognized as an enemy becuase I didn't show up as red. Sit-rep Pro quiets my footsteps as I hear them and amplifies enemy footsteps by about 4x. I can very, very easily hear people trying to sneak up, as even with Ninja Pro they sound about regular. Anyway, just a test, and so far it seems to be working out pretty good.

I do the same thing when I snipe, I probably move around more than I do when I am using an assault riffle.

For my setup, I use:
WA2000 with thermal scope
Scavenger Pro (ability to get new claymores and extra mags/rockets is essential for me)
Cold-Blooded Pro (I also use it as an anti-air class, so it's needed)
Ninja Pro (I need to be stealthy when I snipe)
Stinger
Claymores
Smoke Grenades

As I said, it's also an anti-air class, and if one switched the thermal for a silencer, one would be quite stealthy
