I'd say there is a zero percent chance of this happening.

It would be a big, big mistake if they did. Plus, they have the new WoW expansion coming out that will rake in money, plus SC2, Diablo, etc...

402 said this will "never" happen.

If it does, I'll be back on Halo full time.

"hey this completely unrelated product is doing well with X payment plan.. let's copy it despite our product not being remotely compatible with the kind of userbase that would pay it!"

He also said that nothing would change for the PC versions from CoD4 to MW2, but we all know what happened. :P Honestly, it would be a huge mistake if they went this way. I already pay a subscription for a great service called Xbox Live. I'm fine with that, but I will not pay for another subscription on top of it.

I will also go back to Halo full time if they so choose this path.

if you think about it though they already have your 60 bucks they'll make more money off of it because some people will pay that

That's true.

I'm the CoD team captain but I WILL NOT pay a monthly fee to play this game. I don't expect my teammates to do that either. I'd be bummed if they did that.

Wow. That's a good laugh. I hope they know how many players would truly just stop playing that altogether if they did that.

whos going to pay a monthly subscription for a game that barely runs on its good days? anyway, if they tried to add or change anything to the game they would just end up opening more opportunities for hack/ exploits

It's silly that they think they've earned the right to charge extra for it. It's barely good enough to be worth the 70$ I payed for it already.

Sadly, It would work though; 90% of the CoD fanbase has their parents supplying their XBL subscription anyways, so I'm sure mommy and daddy wouldn't have a problem shelling out an extra 15 a month to keep little____________ from throwing a bitch fit because he cant "*** N00BS" anymore.

That is a grade-A rant right there...

But i know that since $50 of my x-mas already goes to a 12-month, I would end up being the one having to support myself on this, which i would not do. If anything, I would go to full-time WoW (my little brother and i are currently freeloading off of my brother-in-law's account).

I don't think this will be squeezed retroactively into MW2, but I fully expect future titles in the series to go this route. If the game remains full-priced at retail then I won't even consider future CoD titles an option. If they drop the retail and reconsider $15 to maybe $5 per month then I think it's much more feasible.

I'm not saying I'd pay it, but I could see it being easier for fans to take. Kind of like the prison daddy making you his bitch but promising to use lube.

First month free to get u hooked then they charge like WoW. They know how to do it. Put in your credit card info in first so they can charge you a monthly fee if u r a day late cancelling.
A billion sold is not enough profit.

lol im getting to the point where im pretty much done with call of duty to begin with but if they do this to their game it will be worst game of 20XX when it comes out.
Blizzard is pissing me off though cause Starcraft 2 is done and has been done enough to release (blizzard never releases a game without adding an expansion 6 months later to begin with anyways) and diablo 3 has been worked on and planned out and talked about since diablo 2 and still has a strong play base for what 8+ years now (i forgot)?
and im pretty sure they are gonna ruin the diablo series with mixing things from WoW that Diablo players are gonna be super pissed about, and they have good reason to not care about releasing another hit game cause people still pay for wow and generate more money that way than they would using resources to design/build a new game and release it.

I don't trust anything that tool of a CEO says. He's gone back on what he's said waaaaayyy to many times. It's gonna happen, not with Black Ops, but prolly MW3.

This is a new CEO, he was appointed in late July/early September.

Yep. Adam West, you're thinking of Bobby Kotick who is the CEO over all of Activision. This is Activision's CEO of its publishing division.

They're going to find it difficult to charge someone three times to play their game, not counting DLC purchases. I'm glad to see they're addressing the tards that bring this up every couple of months and swear that their friend's-cousin's-uncle works at XXXXXX and knows for a fact that they're going to charge for MP.
