This month we have the always classy, Kyle aka Dr. Holliday! Congratulations!

OcR ROCKETR: Where are you from? How old are you? What do you do for a living?

OcR Dr Holliday: I was born in Abeline, TX and quickly moved to Newark, OH where I grew up and now I currently live 25 minutes away in Columbus, OH. I’ll be 24 years old in a few months and work for State Farm Insurance during the day and do freelance architecture at night. My dream is to start my own custom wrestling shoe company though.

OcR ROCKETR: When did you first join OcR? How did you find OcR and what made you want to join?

OcR Dr Holliday: I joined OcR literally a year ago today 3/30/09 which is extremely coincidental. I found OcR through Shawn (Unrivaled) and joined just after Moose. At the time Halo 3 was the only game I owned since getting my XBOX back in the Fall of 2007 and I was looking for a more competitive atmosphere along with Unrivaled and Moose who were members of WoW along with myself.

OcR ROCKETR: What's your favorite game-type to play with the clan?

OcR Dr Holliday: Some time ago in Halo 3 it was either Construct or Blackout. Recently for Modern Warfare 2 it has been Terminal and Karachi.

OcR ROCKETR: Do you have any life goals, or career goals that you would like to share? What drives you to complete these goals?

OcR Dr Holliday: I’m trying to save all of my money to start my own custom graphic/fitted wrestling shoe company by the time I’m 30. I work on sketches and research every week and have over 150 designs currently, maybe someday I will submit a portfolio to a major shoe company and see if they buy it. I have an extreme passion for drawing, shoes, and wrestling and just happen to be lucky enough to understand the demographic, so this is what compels me to keep pursuing the dream.

OcR ROCKETR: What would you tell recruits or new members about OcR?

OcR Dr Holliday: Recruits, newer guys, if you ever need a reminder as to why you should join or belong: play a game with complete randoms for a whole day, and then play with a group of OcR members and document your gaming experience, I think we all know the result. Every member here is extremely supportive of one another in gaming and in our personal lives, which is hard to find with such a large number of members.

OcR ROCKETR: Is there anything about yourself that you would change?

OcR Dr Holliday: Absolutely not, my faults and flaws are what make me learn and become a better person, and possibly help others with the same scenarios.

OcR ROCKETR: What is the most embarrassing thing you have ever done in real life?

OcR Dr Holliday: When I was a freshman in high school I qualified for Districts (Ohio Regionals) in wrestling and was extremely advanced for my age. However, I am to this day, the only wrestler in Ohio High School history to lose to a girl at the District level. I was 13, she was 18 and I was beating her when she pinned me. There was a crowd of about 5,000 people that erupted when she beat me and I cried for about an hour in a corner of the arena. I’m glad it happened though because I am a coach now and can give insight on fear in the sport, plus it sparked me to train harder and ensued with a 3 year ass kicking spree where I won 147 out of 190 matches….but yes extremely embarrassing.

OcR ROCKETR: Do you have any shout-outs you want to give?

OcR Dr Holliday: First off, to Shawn & Tyler (Unrivaled & Moose), who I met 2.5 years ago, without you guys I wouldn’t be with OcR and I sure as hell wouldn’t enjoy gaming like we have, and I hope it continues forever.

I obviously have to extend my gratitude to every OcR member that was here to vote me in to be a part of this clan, for my last year of grad school this group helped me keep my sanity while I was living by myself and dealing with studies and solitude.

To all the members I do not get the opportunity to play with often, I hope all of your competitive teams succeed and you guys enjoy every “good gaming” moment and I hope Reach will take care of the separation between members.

And last but certainly not least, to my MW2 teammates on RUIN….you complete me.

And don't be embarrassed being pinned by a girl. It happens to Moose all the time.

Congrats man, it was a fantastic read. That sounds like quite the dream; I wish you the best of luck with it all. By the sounds of it, I don't think many people will remember you being pinned by that girl after that ridiculous win pct. three years following. Loved reading it, and I hope just as you said that Reach will solve the problems of separation within.
