I figured that since many others have posted up great writeups. I would just summarize here and show theirs. First one up is AnTi Pro from Arm the Flag!

GGN BTB Madness!

I had the great honor to game with some awesome GGN people on the 14th. We piled 16 people into a party and went into BTB letting Bungie decide our fate. OcR ROCKETR, oFF SHOt, ANUBIS x MT, Cozmo23, PAstemaster, NEC VAYDER, BSG Cabeiri, IRON Kyesiff, Stackimo, Shlugendah, WCF Psyanyde, TTL XerxdeeJ, B0RN 2 DOMIN8, TTL DDay, Jettstream 204 and myself met on the battlefield for some awesome games!

The first game up was One Bomb on Rat's Nest. As the game started BSG Cabeiri proved himself as an elite tactician as he explained his “Shit Sandwich” strategy where we all bum rush the middle to arm the bomb. Kind of reminded me of that RvB episode where Sarge told the team to run into the base in a single file line. Regardless of how bad it sounds the Red Team actually pulled off the win using the tactic both times. Good game guys! Oh and Jett…we’re sorry…signed: Red Team

The next game was Big Team Slayer on Avalanche. Many fun times were had in this great game. Both teams ended up neck and neck at the end after Red Team rallied from being down 20+ kills. DDay and I had rather bad luck with the Hog throughout the game, but the kills we gave the other team were not enough to make us loose. A nice double rocket kill by Anubis ended the game putting Blue Team at 101 kills…yea we’re modders. Good game guys!

Neutral Assault on Rat's Nest was our next challenge. As the game started it looked grim for the Red Team as our strategy never really took shape. Blue Team dominated us 3-0 for an embarrassing loss. We all still had fun though. Good game guys!

By this time we were all craving a little Valhalla fun so we vetoed the first game that came up and were stuck with Big Team Slayer on Sandtrap…not the most fun game in the world but we could live with it. The one memory that sticks out to me in this game is at one point someone on our team called out “they’re all in their Elephant!” and Deej was all like oh wow better watch out or something to that effect. Many laughs were had throughout the game. Vehicles were the name of the game as Blue Team rode to victory. Good game guys!

We rounded out the night with Big Team Slayer on Longshore which was probably not the best idea seeing as some people playing has not had a lot of time spent on this map. At one point I was showing Deej the sign in the little Fish Taco shop and someone came in and murdered us all. It was a fun end to the evening as Blue Team gets stomped by Red. Good game guys!

Overall it was a very successful evening. I hope to meet all of you on the battlefield again very soon!

This second one is from B0RN 2 DOMIN8 with the Halo 3 Wheelmen!

Tonight was the big night for TTL DDay's Ultimate BTB Mixer with two noobs. This event included people from TiedTheLeader, Outcast Reborn, Fallen Unity, Winged Warriors, 8 Bit Brigade, Northeast Core, Ironworks, Sword & Shield Gaming, Master Theory, Will Clan 4 Food, Arm The Flag, Cirque D Geezers, O7AH, Buddy System Gaming and of course Halo 3 Wheelmen.

First of all, it was an absolute blast to play with all these guys. I got to meet a lot of new people as I had previously only played with Anubis and Rocketr. After we all got partied up, we decided to go ahead and just let Bungie decide the teams and went into Big Team with all 16 of us. It's amazing how fast you find games that way! ::lol::

Our first matchup was One Bomb on Rat's Nest. Yay! :? Cabeiri from BSG, suggested we employ a tactic that they like to refer to as a Shit Sandwich. ::lol:: This basically involves everyone rushing through the middle and overwhelming the other team. This proved to be a solid tactic as we scored the first bomb plant rather quickly! Rocketr went crazy ass +19 for us, however his tool of destruction..... melee??? Noob mixer is right!!! Lol. Red team goes on to win 2-0.

Next up we get Big Team Slayer on Avalanche. This game at one point was looking grim for Red Team as we were down by around 20 kills. We pulled it together and closed the gap to make the finish come down to the wire. But alas with Anubis sniping the hell out of us and landing a rocket for a double kill, the hackers won 101-94. :)

Okay so now we get Big Team Slayer on Sandtrap and Blue Team apparently had the plan to throw vehicles at us all day long. And that's just what they did. Rocketr took care of the Banshee, Xerx and oFF SHOt were hoggin' it up, and Stack rolled around in the Chopper. They stomped us with a 100-49 victory.

And people call us vehicle whores! :)

OMGWTFBBQ!!! We actually got Big Team Slayer on Longshore!! Unfortunately for us, we had a few people that had played this map maybe 2 or 3 times. We spent some of the time checking out scenery and getting shot in the face. :) Rocketr and oFF SHOt both had Killing Frenzy's, although oFF SHOt's tool of destruction was an energy sword so his doesn't count! ::lol:: Red Team took over defense base and never let go, cruising to a 100-45 victory.

The high point for Blue Team was this wicked splatter by Shlugendah! :)

We played a few other games and also did some actual BTB when we dropped down to 8 players. All In all it was a great time and I think everyone is interested in doing it again sometime. Oh and I'll leave you with one last picture...

From all of us at the GGN, we wish you "Good Game!"
