MW2 Tourney??

Hello again OcR....it's me again (yeah I know.....stop bugging us)

I'm thinking of putting on a MW2 4 v 4 Tourney....

Not sure about gametypes yet, but I'm thinking of having HCS&D, CTF, Team Deathmatch, etc.....possibly a "best 3 of 5 gametypes" scenario...

Would some OcR guys be interested in this at all before I get it crackin'?

Just trying to get a gauge...

It's going to be open to anyone on the Midworld Forum.....not just GGN clans...(yes, you'll have to be registered)

However, if you're registered at the (GGN) Midworld Forum you can be in this one. It's not going to be a "GGN clan only" thing.....

If you're registered at our forums and have 3 buddies that like to shoot faces.....you're good....

Plenty of time for a standard tourney later (I'm a tournament guy in case you haven't figured it out)....This one will be HC unfortunately...

It's worth giving it a shot for fun. This is 100% just a "fun" tournament to pass the time until Reach so even though it may not be your perfect cup of tea....you can still give it a go....

Just from my initial gauges from everyone......I believe every clan barring 1-2 will be fielding at least 1 team and some will be fielding 2-3....

Should be fun....you can be rest assured that even though it's HC you won't be playing a bunch of douchebags that sit, camp, talk trash, and do nothing....

And this is why we love the GGN! Thanks again for running these, DDAY. Tournaments like these make it a blast to play. The GGN League in the Spring of '09 was one of the best times I've had. I know I don't only speak for myself on that one.

I talked to Loco about the GGN league....that sucks I missed out...not that I'm good.. I just like that kind of stuff.

It's not about that so much as the fact that there are some adult topics spoken over there and their rules are to keep it that way. Out of respect for them, we abide by them.

There is no need to post about this any further.

It is a Midworld rule, and WE (everyone here including you) must abide by, and respect each and every rule.

There will be other tournaments, so don't be so upset about missing out on a couple...

i gotta say i really dislike hardcore in mw2, all the guns are rediculously overpowered as it is, and with 4v4 play its already going to be more squad based and tactical than with larger teams. and HCSnD will just be rediculous imho.

i hope im not alone in this, but i feel the tourney will be much more fun for all with just regular rules.

I see where you're coming from Half, but as DDay all ready said, there will eventually be a non-hardcore tournament (assuming this one goes as planned). I think this would be a good opportunity for us to "expand our horizons" and experience new gametypes.

I like to hear the positive and negatives about what people think guys/gals.....it doesn't bother me....trust me, I won't get offended...

The TTL guys really play HC exclusively so we decided to start with that one...I'll do another standard tourney...no worries. I think you still might have fun in this one if you go in with the idea to have fun and not with the mindset that you hate the gametype..

They also have a new playlist called Our Envy (Get it? Cause it has your name in it and they are envious of halo lol...i tried)...and it is a BTB playlist, uses all the halo maps, weapons, and vehicles. You should come over and play it sometime.

Would you guys rather do the standard 6v6 or 4v4?..

I was a bit worried about numbers to have teams field a 6 man squad and still have enough teams for a decent sized tourney....but the interest has peaked so we might be able to do 6v6....

Ok cool....here's the skinny with us.

One of our four, TTL Pachango, works across country from Sunday to Thursday so he hasn't been able to play with us yet. We've used our sub in every match.

If you guys can play Sunday anywhere from the morning up until about 1PM EST or possibly 2PM EST he would be able to play with us. He leaves around 3....

If not it's cool as we've played all the way without him, but I'd like to get him at least one game.
