the forums are also a bit plain aka its to bright hurts my eyes can we do somethin about it?

I'm not sure if you can or not.

There should be an option at the bottom left of your screen that will say Ambiance, you should be able to change that to Hex which is a much darker skin. If it's not there then you should look around in your CP, it's in there some where.
