well guys i wait all night to download the beta off of crackdown. This literaly takes an entire day for me; and all i can think is "will it be worth it?"

the conclusion is HELL FUCKING YES ITS WORTH IT.

ive played two games and won them both decisively, even with my excitement at all the shiny surfaces and pretty new weapon effects.

even when i get some spiffy new medals the kills keep rolling in and so does my enjotment.

the only downside to the game i can find so far is that i am not sure how the competative gameing community will welcome it. As far as i can see this game lacks the moment of adrenalin that we have all come to associate with halo 2 MM. only time will tell.

What do you have dial up? I think once smaller maps come out the adrenaline will be there. All the maps are pretty big for the most part. I like the play style of it and I actually like the button layout much better now that I am used to it. I also am impressed that I actually like the special items with the X button. I am just not sure if they will be utilized tthe way bungie thinks they will be.

you guys are so lucky - i went to blockbuster on friday to see if i could rent crackdown to DL it but the only copy they had was rented.....

All 3 maps are too big I think. I am so happy they put BTB in there at 6v6 because that feels like a good number of people for the map size. Vahalla could probably even be 8v8.

Hopefully some smaller maps release with the game.

I'm pretty sure smaller maps will release with the game... if not that's really stupid of Bungie. The smaller maps were what made Halo 2.
