Isn't it sad that people like these are the same people who make the laws that regulate and outlaw these substances? This is the representative's logic: Marijuana's THC levels are rising, so it is thus becoming more like cocaine, a drug which contains no THC whatsoever. It's even worse that he's from my home state of Indiana. Fucking ridiculous.

Ahh what can you do...
I hate sounding like a hippy or douchebag "rebel" but media is dumb. I remember the day George Bush banned stem cell research, on yahoo news they had a video of "gangsters" "footwurkin" in "da bafroom". Apparently the editors of yahoo news thought that 16 year old gangsters dancing in a public restroom was more important than the president signing away the possible cure to countless diseases. I don't know how people like that get where they are.
Haha I saw a very crude attempt pushing for the legalization of marijuana, I got change and on a bill it says in huge letters written in marker "Legalize it 420 write it on your money", cute idea haha I bet the person that started that has virgin lungs.

I try to keep up on the news in as unbiased a way as I possibly can, but it's hard since every network has some sort of agenda, regardless of what they say.
The thing that pisses me off most about this video is not the media, but that this representative was actually elected by the people and is making decisions and writing legislature about issues that he obviously has no knowledge of whatsoever.

I didn't DL it because my internets running slow now and I dont have sound right now but I assumed it was some idiot in power bashing marijuana.
Yeah, thats all true but it's always been like that. I think people in power DO know A LOT about marijuana, but because our society has functioned with it being illegal they see no reason to legalize it as it could unforeseeingly off-balance something. Thats just me trying to make some sense of it still being illegal, I've thought about this a lot and honestly I wouldn't be suprised if it became legalized when we inevitably fall into a poor economic state, or when the social security runs out or something of that nature.
Honestly after recent research I think if you got non-baised people who have never heard of marijuana or alcohol and had to make one of them legal based on the recent up-to--date research than most of them would say marijuana. The marijuana propoganda exposed to people in that era that are still around and in power, I think most of the people from those generations are biased towards its illegality. It's been programmed into their heads so much that now they think marijuana is to illegal as Christmas is to Santa.
You can't change a mindset like that really, keep in mind I cant say for sure but my guess is people were way less informed and more impressionable back then so that is why it stuck so much harder to them than it did my generation. Thats a guess though...I mean they didn't have the technology we did, mainly internet but other factors as well, and back then I've only heard /seen videos and it seems like everyone gets off to the you es of aye so when they say marijuana makes the black man **** white woman and the kid murder his parents people just took it for what it was. All just a guess though.
