For all of you who think because you are good you can go pro, let me start off by telling you this. There is a MASSIVE difference between being good on Live and being good at an event. Youre playing in an uncomfortable chair on a 20" split screen with tons of people standing over your shoulder watching and screaming at you so loudly you cant hear yourself think. Its also a lan connection so there is NO lag whatsoever. On top of all that, these people dont fly across the country because they arent fantastic at this game.
That being said ill get to the results of Meadowlands. First my team Focus Fire. Right before the even we had 2 teammates disappear on us so we were forced to pick up two guys that we have known for a long time but hadnt practiced with. We had a grand total of one practice before the event. We didnt get a good seeding because of the bad FFA and we lost our first set and we had to move on to the LB. In round 1 of the LB we won a set and then we lost in round 2.
I still havent heard from my friend Twisted Ziff on how his team did but I did hear them calling out their team name for round 3 of the WB at one point.
MOB Finessed did ok. The got all the way through the open bracket and lost their first two sets in the championship bracket. Their first set they played a very close set to NLR (Nice Like Rice) and the second teamthey played was XIT Woundz. They lost to both teams.
