For the first time ever, Canadian video game players can now join a professional video game league here at home to earn prize money and rise through the ranks to become a professional. Canadian video game players can sign up for online tournaments and are invited to participate in large-scale tournaments in order to gain points, qualify for future events, plus increase their ranking!
Major League Gaming (MLG) is the largest organized league and international sanctioning body for the world’s fastest growing competitive sport: professional video gaming. Recognized as the global governing authority for millions of competitive gamers worldwide, MLG’s ongoing professional video gaming tournaments have attracted competitors from over 28 countries. Major League Gaming Canada – a property of Insight Sports – is the first expansion for this professional video gaming league outside of the USA and will be highlighted by a series of online tournaments throughout the summer and fall, and the 2007 MLG Canadian Open to be held in Toronto this November.
