Network Error

I keep getting network error when i try to connect to other people. is there a way to fix this? or maybe a way around?

Ok try this

1. Go to http://192.168.0.1/
2. Enter the routers username & password (The default username is admin and the password is either password or 1234. Try these before resetting the router. If these don't work you'll need to reset your router and then try the passwords again.
3. Under Advanced select Port Forwarding
4. Click Add Custom Service
5. In the Start Port put 88, in the End Port put 88 and click Apply
6. Click Add Custom Service again
7. In the Start Port put 3074 in the End Port put 3074 click Apply

Try to join someones party you were having problems with :)

i have already tried that. i read that of the Microsoft website i think. I dont understand cause when i test my xbox live connection, the NAT reads open.

also, looking at the router, its asking me to put in a Server IP Address, that should be the same that reads on whats on the IP Address on the xbox. correct?

Yes and No death. If you select Add Custom Service it shouldn't request an IP address.

If you've already tried that I would suggest updating your firmware.

I have a linkseys router and sometimes my game will start lagging and etc, but I just unplug and replug and it works I think my neighbors steal it lol cause my internet is so good!

the only way to fix this is to go to the dashborad and in the systems tab on the 360 got to settings or somthin like that and test your xbox lifve connection

the problem here is that your nat is not open the nat settings have to be on open in able to join everyones party and sometimes it might not be you it may be them
