My brother spiderman is a pro halo 2 player. He went semi-pro in his first mlg event in New York of 06, than in dallas and orlando and chicago he got pro bracket in ffa. His team got top 24 in dallas i believe and were predicted to go top 12 this year in meadowlands. He didnt end up going to meadowland because he got bored of it, but now he has made a return and his first game back was crazy check it out. Heres the bungie link.

I have no doubt about his individual skill, 55 kills and 12 deaths isn't something easily garnered, but I'm curious about his team strats and such. If it would be ok, I would like the oppurtunity to play a couple games with him.

Also, FoRk, you don't know how things go at MLG events. My friend PMS Telina went 46-6 in an FFA back when it capped out at 50 kills.

Potato, I've never played Telina, although I heard she's good, but I know the PMS girls are overrated from personal experience...here are some games I played a while ago with some of their "pro" team.

As you can see, I outslayed them and outplayed the PMS pro girls just about every time.

If Telina did that well, then either a) she had an easy bracket, or b)she is far superior to her teammates.

I think its pretty safe to assume that this Spiderman guy WONT do that well against top 12 MLG players. Because that is supposedly what his team was predicted to place, even though I know about MLG and I have never herad about the guy.

Now I would personally never spend a great deal of money to go to a video game tournament. It just doesn't matter that much to me. The fact that I never went to one does NOT put demean my opinion, nor does it make me a worse player.

It also doesn't take a genius to see that while he MAY actually be as good as a pro, there is no way in hell he will perform that well at top 12 level. Hell, I would be surprised if his team broke top 32 this season. All the teams are just too polished and practiced.

I think the update that every MLG season and Reaper said he was Pro in '06 or '05.

Yeah thryx, he may HAVE been a pro, but he sure isn't now. I just got mad cuz reaper was making it sound like he had been away for so long, and he was amazing for coming back. It's not like that. The seasons get harder every year. A friend of mine who got "pro" status in 05 couldn't break top 128 in ffa during the 06 season, and he went to almost every event. And being gone for 2 weeks is a comeback? Come on.

yea FoRk is right, although, nobody predicted 5k to get top 16 because they were Xbox Live kids. two of them never even had been to an event before Charlotte and they still got 5th place. but yeah, FoRk is absolutely right because he is known on the H3F so he knows all things pertaining to MLG & the wonderful world of halo

and yea 2 weeks isn't a comeback but you are beating a dead horse by continuing to mention the fact that 2 weeks isn't a comeback

and he could be saying comeback because of the fact that he is finally taking the game seriously again, not because he hasn't played in 2 weeks.

Tato, 5k had performed quite well in the online tourneys for MLG...and their points placed them in top 12 I believe. So it's not like they were unknown...

Actually, although I can tell you were being sarcastic, that DOES give me more knowledge. I've played with just about every known H3F member, and I was well known in my day. You have no idea how much Halo meant to me last summer. That was my life. Now, I got to play with a number of good people, and I overheard A LOT of what they said; about the different teams, their predictions, etc. I saw TONS of people who said they would break pro bracket. Less than 5 actually did.

Look at his games. All he played was hardcore. Doesn't seem like he was fooling around does it?
