But that gives all the double shotters a huge advantage starting with a secondary weapon. FFA isn't my thing either, so good luck with your tourny.

why did you guys pick lockout & beaver creek? lockout is popular and all for FFA's online but its too unbalanced(will be even worse with shotguns) and beaver creek gives players horrible spawns(creek spawn is bad enough in team games, imagine in an 8 man FFA).

Is there gonna be specific players that host the games?

Are you aware that people abuse host? Perhaps, (I thinking about 95% chance) that by you giving everybody Shotguns, a player could just theoretically run around a contained area(say Sniper Tower) and wreck havoc on anybody that passes by and/or spawns there with their host Shotgun.

More suitable weapons would be an SMG or Magnum or have no secondary weapon and let the players rely on skill to not get BxR'd instead of a using a Shotgun.

I just read their forums...I think they are having four maps to get some variety. Who knows? Either way, I'm still gonna try and make it. You should go regardless. We could use some of our better FFA players for this.

he's right, it's for variety. this obviously is not an MLG match. otherwise, it would be aptly named, SBG Invitational MLG FFA. :)

...which it's not.

the maps are for variety, but they're all small/med. sized maps.
the shotty is there becuase we'll have a range of players... some of SBG's best and some of it's... more "casual" players. not everyone likes using button glitches, which are an obvious advantage, so if you're like me and don't care to use the glitches, then that's too bad for you! :D In order to try and cut down on the advantage of BxR, BxB, etc. however, the shotty was an obvious tool. Yes, this does introduce double-shotting (another button glitch that gives you an edge), but so what? If we had a secondary at all you'd be able to do that anyways. Kudos to you for being able to double-shot all day long. Use it to your advantage in the matches. :) Deadly Warrior can double shot.. i forget how many times in a row, so if you want to work double-shotting into your gameplay, go for it. The shotty just mixes things up and forces people to be versatile. I understand most are comfortable with their trusty BR's, and they're more than welcome to use it the entire time.

In short - it's just a game! lol You've got nothing to lose, and money to win. How can you complain about that? Just play. ;)

anyways - back to the point. glad to see some of you have signed up!
just wanted to let you know that since we've blown past the 64 mark, we've opened this up to a max of 128 people. (64 x 2 = still an easy bracket system :D) Many of our own guys haven't even signed up yet, let alone hit up our Friend Lists. right now i think we're at about 80 people. we'd love to see more of you guys in there, so if you think you'd like to give it a shot, sign up!
