Coputer screen blinking on and off?

Hey would anybody happen to know what is going on with my computer screen. The screen is just flickering on and off. I had just walked in the room to find it doing this so I don't think it was me screwing something up. Tried restarting, shutting down and turning it back on after about an hour, still flickering.

Could the screen just be dying? It's only about 3 years old.

the screen maybe dying, or the cord connecting to the computer may be loose. check the cord first.

Maybe like sometimes what happens to me on anything is a cable is not all the way plugged or just somewhat needed to be pused in a little.

if its not the cord there might be a pin missing or broke that may be causing that

Yea 9 times outta 10 it's a wire. When it flickers on and off does it go into standbye mode or does it actually power off? It could be a fualt power cord.

It's definately not your computer though it's only the monitor.

Hm turns out the tube in the monitor burnt out already. Thanks for the help though.
