View Full Version : This past weekend

I'm done with these guys. We can never find a reliable 4th that will stay for more than one online tournament or event. Eric and Richi play too much other games (WoW & StepMania to name a few) for us to do any good at events. I think they just don't care because they are spending their parent's money whereas I'm spending the money I actually earned. At Dallas this past weekend they did just horrible. I have always been really good at LAN and I didn't have a bad game. I had slayer games of 9, 19, & 21. And all my objective games I had over 20+ kills. Eric didn't break double digits in any slayer game, with 1 of them being under 5 kills and in an objective game only had 15 where the rest of us had 25+. Richi didn't do as bad but he really wasn't helping much with his constant complaining (like usual), not being consistent enough, and the fact that he was trying to point out others flaws when we were talking to him what he did wrong in a game. He was basically trying to avoid the fact that he was doing bad. Even when me & i\our 4th, Aktion(his team got top 48 @ Meadowlands) were going over strats, Eric wasn't paying attention and Richi was falling asleep. We had Richi's XBL friends in the room with us and they were paying more attention even though they were only there for FFA. I'm trying to get better so I can make some noise at an event by soaking up all the information I can but I don't see them taking the necessary steps to do that. They take advantage of the fact that we are friends so they don't take me seriously anymore. Basically we weren't the same team at all. I think they rely too much on host, with Richi always using that as an excuse or Eric possible getting cheap kills because of lower quality host. Aktion did really well too placing in 4th round FFA and pretty much staying consistent throughout the whole event. I feel sorry for him too because his team did so well at Meadowlands but couldn't go to Dallas so he went with us instead. And before the event he had told himself that if he didn't place well then he probably wouldn't try to go to anymore events this season.

But don't let all this venting give you the wrong impression. I had fun at the event but our performance was just disgusting. I have placed better with each event with the exception of this past one which is just shocking. To know that I planned on going with these guys the entire season and this is how we come out is just embarrassing honestly. To know that I did better with half a team of randoms at Charlotte than I did with people I have known for a year is just disturbing. I just want to apologize to the clan because we didn't represent ourselves properly or the clan properly. I am sorry if anyone has every heard anything they took offense to about their play from either myself, Richi, or Eric because we basically took up space at the venue plain and simple. I am removing myself from this team as of today and I will continue looking for a team for Chicago that will hopefully have the potential to place better than I ever have before. There is no bad blood between myself & the other 2 as I have talked to Richi about this and hopefully we can continue to be friends but I can safely say I will 100% never team with either of those individuals again for anything that I have to spend that much money for

Well I didn't see some of that coming. At the same point how can you expect to play well when you don't play the game anymore? I went from seeing AtM playing every night to seeing you guys on once in awhile.

Maybe now Eric will stop playing WoW ;)

I was personally on everynight until the last week because I had to work everyday up until the event to make up me taking leave. Reaper had actually quit our team because they were always on the PC. Richi made an attempt to get on when we were on but Eric did not.

If you want to make it happen, come see me. When you come see me, be VERY serious about getting there and ill show you and your team how to make it happen. Dont beleive me? Ask around. No offense because I dont know you, but I dont deal with any bullshit. If youre going to be dedicated to making it happen, I expect nothing less. IT WILL NOT BE EASY.

The offer is open, I may even have a team for you to join...and yes, they are DAMN good and they need a 4th.

No offense but I didn't understand your first paragraph.

And I'm looking for teams with points because I have 13 and don't want to start from scratch with a team. I have a few in mind but I would like to weigh all my options with the teams I'm looking at

They have a few points.

What I was trying to say was that if you want my help, im going to put you and your team through nine circles of hell for about the next month. Training and off host scrims. I use both orthodox and unorthodox training methods.

It dosent seem like boot camp would particularly interest you, but if you do get another team, I can get you scrims against highly ranked teams.

Hello, I am actually very interested in playing in MLG events this season for the last two events. However, I will not be able to go to the Chicago event as I will be away on vacation with more then half of my family!

Orlando is fairly close to me and would be quite easy for me to go and as I am very dedicated I am myself looking for a team to go to Orlando and hopefully beyond and into next year's events. So if you're interested for Orlando just message me on here, live, or aim.

I've been trying to get into MLG, my baseball team lost in two unbelievable upsets I was planning to be playing til mid august but we're knocked out so I can dedicate a lot of time to practice and stuff now. I would definatly need to start with the basics though.

If I get any talent at Halo 3 I will definetly try and do some tourney's. I am done with Halo 2 for now.

I'd want to help out, but I don't really think it's worth any time since Halo 3 is coming soon =P.

Agreed. Why bother training at this point?

There's still some time between now and the release of H3. During this time, there are multiple H2 online tournaments, and 2 more events (Chicago and Orlando). People like to be good at things, so this helps them to be good at Halo in particular.

Hmmn I suppose but I tend to disagree mostly. Sounds like someone don't have a 360 too me Trojan ;)

The training itself ALWAYS comes in handy. Things like stress reaction time, playing under extreme pressure and basic teamwork and strategy apply to any halo game and map. It dosent really matter what map or version of Halo youre playing, the principles remain the same. I can guarantee you that when H3 comes out FB and CbN will still be on top because of exactly what I just said.

The date of Orlando is pretty damn close the release date of Halo 3. Semptember 21-23 I think?

Thats what I was thinking, well not to that detail. I tried to stop using button glitches as much even though they've became a habit, and I've tried to utilize cover, teamwork, and strategy as much as I can. It's scary how dumb I play any gametype. I could only do good at btb or 6v6 because some asshole spawncamping your base by themselves wass always productive and soo easy to do with smg starts.

Ya you deserve a pretty serious team Marcus. I have noticed you have gotten a ton better since I played seriously. I am going to go to Chicago but as a spectator (mainly due to not enough time to devote and not playing on an original xbox for over a year) so can't help you there. My suggestion would be on MLG forums in the team making forums section. You can find some good guys there to pick up with points and many times a team looking for one more that can pay there way. I am sure once they try you out with your skill and MLG experience you would not have a problem being accepted. Let me know who your team is so I can cheer ya on at Chicago on Saturday.
